Default Someone suggest a build for me :[

NOTICE: no more joke suggestions will be accepted
NOTICE: must be somewhat original, as in, not a pure THF barb or an 18/2 ranger.

ive want to start out a new character to help my sister cap, but i dont know what to go with :[.

she is playing a sorc, and i am going to play a melee type (we will bring along clr hires for heals, party for harder stuff)

ive previously triple TRed a wizard (now a PM, originally an AM), and twinked it out. I actually rather like the feeling of power i get from wail and mass hold, as well as the oohs and aaahs at my sustained DC 45 holds/wails

BACKUP NOTICE: Original ish build please. Defined as: "you dont see it every week", or, if you play less often "consists of less than 10% of the builds of the primary class"

ive made a Kensai-AA, and rather enjoyed it, though i found that imp. precise manyshot isnt nearly as fulfilling as i thought it would be :[, also, i am having some problems getting its to-hit up to par for eLailat/devil's. I like the ability to use both sword and bow though on that particular toon, but the bow doesnt really excite me. Boosts are fun to play with though.

for this life, i think id like the simplicity of simply whaling on stuff till it dies, but i want it to be somewhat unique :/. perhaps blitz? dunno. even blitz might be too "main stream" :P

ANOTHER BACKUP NOTICE: Original build please. also, a pure class is not original, an 18 class/2 rogue is not original.

    currently tentatively considering building a:
    8/6/6 ftr/rgr/barb
    12/7/1 mnk/rog/rgr
    7/7/6 mnk/rog/ftr

    A dex-based two weapon halfling barbarian rogue(mechanic).

What, you didn't say it had to be a GOOD build!

TWF barb with 2 rogue splash for evasion. Somewhat unique, a lot of simple whaling.

look, a listening spec'd halfling thrower is all and well, but i prefer maiming halfling throwers, they do more damage. though buying the halfling ammo is difficult

If you want to get traps, then a WF Rogue 1/Ranger X would do nicely and still have reasonable DPS.

If you aren't worried about traps, then I'd say WF Barbarian. WF Barbarian + Wizard or Sorcerer go very nicely together.

Edit: Yes, I know you said you hate WF, but if your girlfriend wants to play a Sorcerer and you want to duo with her, then take one for the team.

At this point, I think a WF Barbarian is original. I haven't seen a melee toaster in days. They're all Manbearpigs instead of Cylons now.

the build i say :P, not the race. besides, there are plenty of melee toasters running around.

    Oh, okay then...

    high dps original build.....

    8/6/6 ranger/fighter/barbarian tempest/kensei/frenzied twf....

if you can remove the gimpyness, you got yourself a match. I suggest taking levels for each class all at once except the last 2 levels of ranger.

    str/con max

    leftovers in dex

use a tome for wis and dex

    level 18 is 6/6/6

hmm that could work nicely maybe more levels in fighter could be better?

Pure FvS, either Human TWF Khopesh or Half-Elf Fighter dil THF. Simple, near-indestructible, and you can help cover your sis' butt when the **** hits the fan. As a bonus, you can get incessant tells begging you to come heal people.

You get GTWF at 9 Ranger IIRC, so you'd still need 17 DEX to qualify for that in the end. Maybe 12/8 Ranger/Barbarian or Fighter? Or 12/6/2, going Tempest/Berserker or Tempest/Kensai. I actually considered the latter once. The 12 Ranger would also get you Resists up to 30, which is nice.

Maybe if you're feat starved, the extra 2 of ranger gives you another set of spells. The only problem will be getting 17 dex for gtwf. but otherwise its not really lacking. get a self cast str buff so that kinda makes up for lacking rage.

i would level ranger first to get the twf and spells, then barb for rage, then fighter, then last two of ranger unless you need the spells sooner.

I'd go either horc, dwarf or helf/human depending on which way you want to go. I can draw one up real quick if you like cause I made a flavor build using daggers a while back (chronicals of riddik while sleep deprived) but in theory it could be pretty good.

Just let me know which race you want and I'll set it up.

*EDIT* oh also how many points you have to use.

seeing as one notice is not enough, i have added 2 other notices, and bolded all of them

@above post, i think i can build it pretty well, ill just do a human 32 pt, prob do something along the lines of ftr 7/rgr7/barb6 :O, someone also PMed me a 12/7/1 monk/rogue/ranger that looks pretty interesting.

EDIT: and it has to be good dps/ hp lol
There is no melee build that is even close to being somewhat unique that is "good dps/ hp." No matter what you choose there will be hundreds if not thousands of similar builds across the servers.

Instead I'd recommend you choose a class you want to play and work on making it the best melee it can be. Bards and FvS seem to be the least played and therefore more unique melees, both can have good hp and dps, and their buffs/backup heals are always welcome in groups.
