    Exclamation Devs: Yet another Crafted Wraps Bug

    Have you ever thought about something so much that you stop being effective at finding issues? That is kinda what happen to me... I have been trying to find as many crafted wraps issues and play at the same time, but today I decided to finally work on some other DDO projects.

    However, no sooner than I stopped thinking about it, a new bug came rushing to the front of my mind like a repressed memory! So I went to Lamannia to run some tests and I was right

    Crafted wraps with a guild augment slot do not apply damage from either prefix of suffix.

    In this video (D&D music entitled Eternal Mystery); I first go to Lamannia and test pre 9.1 wraps, first with augment and the second without.

    Next I go to my video archive of live (post 9.1 made wraps) and show that crafted wraps with guild augments are not working, show how damage should appear with my old random loot wraps and show my crafted +5 Holy GLOB with guild augment and no force ritual (they don't work either, but not demoed)

    With the crafted wraps with guild augment you will not see the 2nd holy damage (only my ring) and you will not see the bane damage.

    With the crafted without a guild augment slot (on Lamannia) or random generated wraps (on Sarlona) you will see the damage from both the prefix of suffix.

    So, now the mystery is why is a guild augment slot killing wraps?

    I'm using Acid of Lesser Vampirism wraps with a Small Guild Slot (which I put an accuracy crystal in), and everything works as expected.

    Weird, on live servers i made a pair of +4 holy/eob and slotted a lightning dmg crystal in -> wraps icon turned to the 'blank' state and neither holy or bane damage were working as long as the crystal was active.
    On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero

    Don't worry
    They're fixing the current bugs in about 8 hours or so, so in another 10 hours we'll have a whole host of new ones to discover!

    I think Turbine should give all monks a free pair of craftable silver-threaded handwraps for their patience
    On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero

    We'll see, I just hope this one gets fixed because as far as I know it wasn't even on the radar during this pass... again I feel bad for not seeing it sooner.

    That may be wishing a bit much... a six pack of crafting exp pots would be nice though

    Well, back to working on may be the most boring video I have yet to make.... Crazy Crafting Demo soon(tm)... I have it pared down to 18 minutes!

    Mine are on Live as well. No enhancement bonus, acid of lesser vampirism. (Min level 7. Can't fit an enhancement bonus on yet as I'm only level 8 at the moment.)

    The attack bonus from the small guild crystal of accuracy works fine, I've burnt through two of them so far, and both the acid and lesser vampirism on the wraps works with it active.

    on live i crafted holy hw of evil outsider bane with small guildslot and they didnt apply to hit and damage from enhancement mod, no matter what items i swap.
    Jesus saves. Everyone else rounds to nearest 5%.

    It seems that this patch only fixed the enhancement bonus bug : holy still doesn't add 'good' to your damage types, and swapping a +dmg or +to-hit item still removes alignment/elemental/bane damage from the crafted wraps you have equipped when swapping gear.
    I guess guild augment slots are still buggy as well, all those remaining bugs are related to crafting, and crafting is in a beta test state... unlike enhancement bonuses which affected regular wraps

    My price is going up tho, i'll need 1 silver and 1 cold iron threaded craftable wraps to make up for my patience now

    Crafted wraps with guild slots are doing the damage now, however...

    All ToD bonuses (i.e. Shintao Cord + Kyosho's Ring) stops working with crafted wraps even though the icons still show in you buff section if you look at your to-hit and damage you will see a change in +5 wraps vs +5 crafted wraps. It is as if the code is not telling the system that we have an unarmed weapon slotted. And it was reported in another thread that if you take your ToD ring off that has a burst on it and put it back on while wearing crafted wraps that the burst stops working until you put on non-crafted wraps.

    Also, the bonus to hit from bane is not working with crafted wraps... if you watch your bonus from your die rolls with just normal bane and compare it to crafted wraps with greater bane the crafted wraps are still rolling much lower than the non crafted normal bane wraps.

    Ever monk that reads this needs to test this for yourself and bug report what you find, the more information they have the more likely they will be able to fix it.

    I am too tired to do any more testing today and will be away from the game for a bit after tomorrow night, so keep posting and submitting those bugs.

    And this is really where I feel it is just not right. Having one person that can confirm a bug should be more than enough to get the Turbine staff to investigate an issue.

    Requiring X amount of people report a bug before anything can be done is just stupid. If turbine wants to send me a weekly paycheck I'd be happy to go out of my way and take screen shots, fill out official forms, etc.


    Again, having someone from the forums report it, and others reply confirming it. should be enough.

    I have a set of +3 holy of lesser vamp wraps with a medium guild slot (with accuracy slotted).

    I get:
    - +3 damage from the enhancement (at least it shows in inventory window, I havent tested combat log numbers to ensure this is real)
    - holy damage
    - lesser vamp health

    I do not get:
    - +3 to hit from enhancement
    - +3 to hit from guild slot gem
    - good damage type with regards to DR breaking
