    Arrow Force Savant - PLEEEASE!

Can we please have a Force enhancement line?

With a Force AoE? And a Force DoT? ;D

Why not sounds nice but couple problems:
    1. Not enough force spells
    2. Force isint actualy a element

    But I like it.
What would the tier 3 spesial be ?

    Tier 1: Magic Missile
    Tier 2: Chain Missiles
    Tier 3: Force Missiles

And the DoT would be like Divine Punishment, but for arcanes.

Just need an AoE.. something like a puddle with jumping force specs sounds neat.

    No.

    Because:
    1) It doesn't make sense for there to be a force line of elemental savant.
    2) The point of the savant is to build strengths and weaknesses. Effectively nothing is immune to force, so there is no corresponding weakness.

    -Kernal

PS: There is a force AoE in-game already.

Ice Storm doesn't count. Meteor Swarm isn't a DoT AoE.

True, Force is not an Element but there is the Argent Savant PrC in D&D 3.5. They specialize in Force spells. There is also the Force Missle Mage PrC from Dragon Magazine which also allows an arcane caster to specialize in Force.

There are more Force things in DDO that could be affected by the PrE than you're probably thinking.

Shield could be made to last twice as long (without Extend or four times as long with Extend), and it could also be made to be twice as effective (double the amount of AC it gives).

Mage Armor is also a Force Spell that could me made to last twice as long and also be twice as effective.

A Force (Argent) Savant's magic missles could be allowed to penetrate a non-Force Savant's Shield or Nightshield spell.

Of course, all the Magic Missle-type spells could be made to be more effective (more damage) or their spell point costs could be lowered. The Spell Penetration rolls made for those spells could also be lowered by 2 or 3.

There's LOTS of stuff that COULD be done if one of the Devs really wanted to make a good Force PrE.

I like how the song changes when it is not in his favor.
Maybe you should have saved your money and just rolled a Whizzerd instead of cutting corners.

how dare you label yoda a sorc!
yoda is more of a fighter/acrobat/sorc, hes got incredible melee/evasion, and he has the ability to use some force spells and domination

If you collect some Epic Dungeon tokens, you could have TR'd into a Wizard and then TR'd back into a Sorcerer for even more arcane goodness and saved yourself the $50.

I... don't believe any of the Magic Missile/Chain Missile/Force Missile spells have to bypass SR, do they?

    I could be wrong here...

In D&D 3.5, Force spells do not automatically bypass Spell Resistance except for a couple. There are some Orb spells in the Complete Arcane which are classified as coming from the Conjuration school of magic that do. Orb of Force and Lesser Orb of Force (as well as all the other Orb spells like Orb of Electricity, Orb of Fire, Orb of Acid, Orb of Cold, Orb of Sound and their Lesser equivalents) are the two exceptions of Force spells that do not require a spell penetration roll to bypass Spell Resistance.

I was meaning DDO specifically, not 3.5 pnp. That's probably where the miscommunication happened. All good, then.

    incorrect,

iirc clay golems (magic immunity) and some oozes (arcane i think) are immune to force

    Sorcerer Force Savant I
You have focused your training to become an irresistible force but become an immovable object. You gain +2 to the caster level of all force spells but movement is reduced to 0.
BONGO FURY - Ghallanda - Thingfish - Wizard, Diuni - Ninja, Gheale - Angel, Dullknife - Tank, Noodlefish - Gimp, Jaquaby - Treacherous and other gimps.
