My rogue got super lucky

Hi. I felt like posting an unbelievable streak of luck my rogue has had over the last few days.

Around 4 days ago I did my first ever epic chrono run on my rogue. I somehow pulled both a Scroll of the Charged Gauntlets, and a Scroll of the Helm of Frost withing the first 10 minutes before even reaching the bank. After the bank fight was done, I also pulled a Seal of the Charged gauntlets and absolutely coudnt believe getting both the scroll and the seal so quickly (my team mates were highly jealous and joked that it must be hacks, or that they wanted to cut my halfling's head off so that they could smear themselves in his lucky blood o.O). I wasnt really expecting anything else, though I also got a shard for the boots from the end chest (boo! Shard of the Charged Gauntlets would have been a much more epic pull from that run, but with 4 upgrades in one run and two that I really really wanted for the charged gauntlets, I was very happy ).

The day after that I joined a group for Epic Von 6. I was looking for epic upgrades for the kundarak delving goggles and suit, but ended pulling no less than a +4 Manual of Bodily Health (Constitution +4)!!!!!!! I literally froze in amazement, as following on from my previous days luck I wasnt expecting to get lucky again.

Despite all these pulls, I was still missing the one thing I really really needed for my rogue - A Tharnes goggles. I had been complaining in Guild Chat that I had done so many VoD runs, and whenever a Tharnes Goggles dropped, I always lost the roll, or some pure paladin that got them looted them for the sneak attack bonus

But just today (two days after my +4 con tome pull), i was off the timer for VoD and did another run. I put up an LFM saying 'VoD - Please help me get my Tharnes Goggles', hoping that if someone got them they would be kind enough to pass them over to the rogue that needed them.

But no charity, rolling, or spamming 'I need those goggles please' was needed, for after I opened the VoD chest, there was a Tharnes Goggles waiting inside with my name on them

Now I ought to start grinding some icy raiment runs to see if my lucky streak continues, or even buy some lottery tickets

Nice runs! The luckiest I ever got is on my pally, where his first 2 ToDs ever, he pulled both rings that he needed. Now he only runs for tomes and the trophies.

I still haven't seen a +4 tome in my name tho.. Nice pull there.

For every epic chrono run I do now, I will enter with my measly 2 large devil scales and 1 flawless red dragon scale in my inventory, ready to give to anyone that is willing to give me a shard of the charged gauntlets. Thats really the only thing I want from there, though the epic 3 item bonus would also be nice.

I wasnt planning on TRing my rogue, but now I am going to want to do two TRs for a 36 point build before I use my +4 con tome (no way would I waste it on a 32 point build). First I'm going to TR to a 2 rogue / 18 ranger build so I can still play as a rogue, and so I can also get a ranger past life for the +2 ranged damage bonus as well as a Rogue past life for the +2 trap saves (not that I need that on a dex built mech, but its what I will get for my first TR), and then go back to a halfling mechanic / heavy repeater kensai in my third life (the same build I have now which is playing very nicely - 12 rogue / 6 fighter / 2 monk, which also gives me lots of feats including ranged specialisation and healing dragonmarks). That will take a while though, and I still want to grind a lot more epics and raids.

I love when that happens. You really want something and are just about ready to beg, borrow and steal to get them and it drops in your name.

Luckiest I got was I did to vod's in a row one on my monk and pulled thanes goggles and was given the bracers and then on my paladin and pulled thanes goggles and yes I took them but not for the sneak attack


but I do think I wouldnt mind running with you and seeing of some that luck rubbed off

My only have one lucky loot story, the rest of my loot is drawn out.

When palemaster came out, i rolled up a new wizard and was leveling along, got flagged for DQ and pulled a torc at lvl 13.... i was so happy - it made leveling up a new charicater much easier.

Hopefully the loot gods can smile on all of us soon

I love when that happens. You really want something and are just about ready to beg, borrow and steal to get them and it drops in your name.

Unless of course someone passed it to them in the chest before their loot was fully loaded.

I opened the chest first, and I saw 4 different loot items spawn for me and the goggles were the third item

Here's mine:

Shroud-Normal. Just running for the completion, before U9 came out, and Shards of Power became craftable trinkets. Part 1: +2 CON tome/SDS 2: Nothing spectacular, vendor trash as always 3: 2 MDS/SoGP 4: LDS 5: LDS.

Only thing that would have made that better was a Legendary or SSoP. But I'm not complaining about that run: two LDS, Shard, and +2 CON tome in the same run is very nice for someone working on GS crafting

I forgot something .....

2 or 3 days prior to the Chrono Run I pulled a Madstone Boots .... On my Wizard.

Seriously I had no idea what it was, I did reavers, opened the chest, thought I saw a mediocre rage clickie and looted it it.

I feel bad about that now

Though I'm enjoying convincing people that I have no idea what my +4 con tome is and that I have deleted it since it cant be traded. Yes I am evil.

Nice, I just got a breastplate of destruction from HoX. Now I'm trying to do some Icy Raiment + Planar Shard runs, if I manage to make a group.

Wow, and today was my wizards lucky day, I did 3 mindsunder runs, didnt get much good from the chest but got both a +2 Wisdom, and a +2 Constitution tome for the end rewards!

After a few more epic chrono runs:





I just got the scroll for the goggles in my last run, and other people got the seal and shard and I traded them for a helm of frost seal and some other shard I didnt need from the end chest.

Next I want the epic cloak and boots on my wizard for the 3 set bonus and the brilliant stats + sockets that they have. The epic diabolist robe wouldnt be too shabby, but it doesnt have major fire lore and +2 evocation DCs that my phoenix regalia has, and those help me a lot more.

I also pulled a +2 dex tome from my shroud end reward prior to that eChrono run

I dont want to replace my bracers and gloves of the glacier with the epic chrono ones though, but I wont say no to looting the upgrades if I get them.

1st TOD run on my SS bard and the SS ring drops for a wf caster who politely asks me if i want it. My jaw drops and a say Hellzz er uh yes plz. He politely passes it over as a nother charaqcter in group quietly mentions he has been farming for 1 year to get his TOD ring. Thank the Loot Gods and the nice WF caster who passed it to me! Now i still need my tharnes goggles and about 1 millon other things to finish my build.
