    Default Hit bonus bug?

    I can't even tell since when i'm experiencing this strange "behavior", i just never bothered with it because i quickly discovered a 10sp fix but i would be in trouble if i wasnt a cleric, i'll try to explain.
    But first of all, yes i'm standing still.

    I notice that sometimes for a reason i can't reproduce, my to-hit bonus(the one that we see when we click details in the inventory) becomes a lot lower than it should be. Reading the forum i've seen people claim it's just a screen bug and doesn't get calculated in real fight, but it does, mosters i should be hitting even with a roll of 2 only hits with a roll of 13.

    My bonus which should be +28 standing still becomes +17 while this behavior is in effect, i'm a dwarf cleric level 15 with 21 strength(counting equipment and tomes), great axe proficiency feat, +2 hit with axes enhancement and +2 hit the spectral gloves give me.

    As for the fix, simply cast a divine favor spell. To-hit goes up to +31 and after the spell effect wears off it goes back to the correct value, which is +28 at my level.

    Best thing to do is to look at the combat feedback window. That should have your correct to hit numbers in it. Also, keep in mind that the numbers are affected by the attack chain (and, thusly, why the inventory screen isn't always correct).

    HW have the strange thing going on with it but I've not noticed on anything outside of that being odd. I'll watch some next time I'm on.

    is your tohit different standing inside the crafting hall and outside the hall in house k as well?

    especially if wielding a cannith crafting item with no + enhancement bonus, but with other mods?

    for some time on my wf fvs my tohit was off by between 6 and 11 simply depending on which area i was standing in looking at the detail pane, with crafted greatswords.
    been using greensteel lately so almost forgot about this bug. i noted it also varied depending on difficulty setting. guess it might be worth looking at again if i have time eh?

    If you are using handwraps, this is a known and terrible bug that has existed for a month. If you aren't using handwraps, then not sure what other thing is causing it.

    Divine favor is a super-bomb spell now that gives me something like +6 to hit and +7 damage - heh - by providing a workaround to the handwrap bug.
