    Lightbulb Castle Dungeon?

I remember playing D&D PNP and having castle dungeons in your starter box. I have been playing DDO off and on since april of 2007. Is there a castle quest in DDO? If not, I think that would be an excellent addition to the DDO portfolio. Could generate some assets too. Castle Ravenloft quest pack, 2995 tp

Oh, I'd love to see Ravenloft Castle in DDO. However, I doubt Turbine has the rights and it's not part of the Eberron world.

I am drawing a blank on the quest name ... but there is one quest where you are fighting your way up the tower in House Deneith to fight the leader of the undead zombie pirates. I always feel that that quest has a "castle" type feel to it.

    Tide Turns?

Also one of the ones in that pack, Storming the Beaches where you get into the fort, I love that quest and it kind of has that castle raid feel to it. I need to run that again, good quest!

That's The Tide Turns in Sentinels of Stormreach. Never struck me as all that castley. I think what scouse65 is going for is more of the Gothic feel Ravenloft had.

EDIT: somenewnoob beat me to it.

Yep ... it is the Tide Turns. I agree it doesn't have a gothic feel but is does have a let's storm and re-take the tower/castle feel.

    Default Graveyard

There is a Gothic undead style Tower quest in the Deleras graveyard.

house J - the one with the lich at the top (and the dead shall rise iirc)
house P - party crashers (well, a mansion)
    Tower of Despair
    bastion of power
the last quest in the U9 chain (again, a mansion, but counts IMO)
    eyes of stone
    chains of flames (sort of)
    wiz-king (well, a pyramid)

    there are also various "forts":
    tempest spine
    tangleroot
    STK
    sins of attrition
    genesis point
    framework

and I am sure I missed some

Default It would've been cool if...

DDO had gone the way of fifedoms...and let us capture a house/keep/castle for our personal use.

And, while Ravenloft may not be in their perview, I am sure "Rookhold" with a vampire or two could make it into the game.

Yes while vamps and undead seem very fun to kill i honestly dont want a castle with either. Not even devils, mainly because of the way alot of classes can be set up. If you add say undead; pallys, monks , and all the casters would blitz through in a vary short amount of time. Id prefer to see a castle of Lawfull Good enemies to kill. ( ok fine with a dungeon full of undead to please you holy types) But mainly I want a somewhat challenging castle that takes awhile to clear! ( its a CASTLE for gods sake, its supposed to be big)

On a side note i would like to see Demons, ( mainly a Balrog).

what is missing in the caves are the stalagmites, the creatures that drop on you from the roof.

Black Loch has stalagmites that fall on you but it's more like a trap than those piercers.

I think you will find what you are looking for outside of Amrath, in the Devil Battleground.

Several of those quests take place inside castles so bleak and dangerous, you will want to curl up into the fetal position and cry.

The devs at Turbine are creative, they will surely think of exciting additions.

Technically Tor is very much a castle, just a giant's castle.
Basically no one but the giants would build a proper castle in X'endrik, or a second city for that matters.
As far as castles go, Deneith Tower is the defending stronghold of the city of Stormreach.
The rest are more like palaces, there's Lordsmarch Palace and also House J quarters (partycrashers).
But maybe we can get to see the insides of Gladewatch Outpost? We know the outside quite well already.
