Well look at it from another point of view. You need another person for your "questing" so you start looking for one.
1. At the tavern with an LFM going. Slow night so you don't get any hits. And those that do respond are gimped. Cost=(5pp per drink x # of drinks) x number of nights LFM.
2. Finally get a good class for your party. Has all the buffs you want plus some others that you've never tried before. But they have never quested with you before so they want to discuss your plan first. Cost=100pp per night x number of nights it takes to convince her to "quest" with you.
3. You get to the quest, start to enter and find out she forgot some components for her buffs. No questing that night. Cost=another night of non-questing.
4. You finally complete the "quest" and are content with the xp but you find out she isn't happy because you missed some optional objectives that would have gained her additional xp. Cost=a few more nights wasted outside the quest entrance going over your "strategy".
5. After completing several quests together you decide that you should create a guild together to make questing easier. It starts off great with plenty of loot runs and a few raids worked in. Then she decides you are doing too many loot runs and wants to just go back to the tavern again and hang out. Cost=Nights spent hanging out instead of completing quests.
6. She eventually gets tired of you bugging her to raid saying you just want her buffs (duh) so she decides to quit your guild and look for another. Cost=Half you reknown and more time wasted LFM.
Or you could........
1. Buy hireling. Cost=300pp
2. Immediately quest with said hireling getting the buffs you want when you want them. Cost=0 Reward =Happy looting
3. Dismiss hireling when done with quest. Tell them you'll let them know when you need them again. Cost=0 Reward = Knowing you can quest again whenever you want.
So adding all that up you can waste a lot of time/effort with an LFM up OR you could grab a hireling and finish the quest long before you could even start it the other way.
