    Default Window mode improvements.

I would love to be able to select full screen or windowed mode from the launcher rather than having to load the game and go into the options menu. Normally this doesn't cause many problems, but there are a few cases where it can be really annoying. The client does remember the mode between sessions I know, but if I logged out after questing and want to log in to do some crafting, check the auction house or whatever while watching a film in another window I'd rather not have to pause and wait for the game to load, possibly killing VLC with the video mode/resolution changes.

Also would it be possible to save two UI setups? Right now I have to rearrange my bars and various UI components every time I change modes to make them usable again. Just being able to save a full screen and windowed version of my UI arrangement would be a massive improvement and make switching a lot less painful.

Does Alt+Enter work for you to switch from Full-Screen to Windowed mode and back?

Edit: It wouldn't solve the hot-bar rearranging problem, though.

Not sure if this helps you or not as I don't often run in windowed mode.
I removed the startup up movie file (.bik) and the Turbine swoosh from my install directory so that when I login it goes straight to the splash screen -this saves a little time.
On the splash screen you can hit Alt + Enter to toggle to windowed mode (or full screen).
Give it a try to see - no guarantee it works of course

I don't ever switch to windowed mode but i understand what you mean by having to rearrange hotbars. My main pc has a 23" monitor and my laptop is 17" and i dual box a lot. Sometimes when I have people playing at my house on my laptop in guild runs I will run it on a 10" notebook to pike a character for xp/guild renow. It is really painful when I go back to my large monitor and everything is in a big bunch and I have to spend five minutes arranging it again ( I am picky and like all my bars aligned perfectly ).

I wish there was a way to make a default arrangement so it would go back to it on the large monitor and arrange as nessacary for a smaller view such as windowed mode or smaller monitor.

I haven't used that much but it isn't so much the switching as having to load into full screen if I want windowed.

Because loading into full screen forces video mode changes it can entirely bork other programs (especially VLC) running at the same time. To the extent I have to kill the process and restart whatever I was watching. It also overrides at least one program I have running to adjust screen colour (f.lux) until I alt-tab out.

Right now I'm trying to remember to switch to windowed whenever I log out, which does mean adjusting my UI constantly but makes logging in to check the mail or doublecheck something from the wiki or forum considerably easier.
