Meh, I'll get it, but it won't hold me back from playing DDO. It does not look too impressive to me. It depends on how their content creation works. All NWN games were long and involved processes to make content for. Let's see how this one does.

I never trust game trailers or movie trailers as they usualy are 100's of times better than end product is
Beware the Sleepeater
I am with the first guy that commented on the Escapist article on the Foundry; the peer-review thing is not really a good system because if someone doesn't like you, they can get their buddies to not let your module through, or give it really bad reviews because it might be too "hard" or too "boring" because the module is either really challenging, or is more puzzle/diplomacy focused. This, in my opinion, would prevent many quality modules from seeing the light of day.

A) Game trailers are not to be trusted.
B) Nobody knows anything real about the release yet.
C) Last I heard, Atari was dumping Cryptic. What does this mean for NWO? Nobody knows, but corporate drama is never a good sign.
D) This is good news for Turbine and DDO; Turbine's lawsuit against Atari just got a lot more plausible. I'm looking forward to hearing more about that aspect of this.
E) Despite A through D, NWO might still be cool. Depending on how the reviews look, I might give it a try at one of the cheaper price points.
F) DDO is a fun game that I am having fun playing. NWO is, in all fairness, still vaporware. Comparing the two is unfair to both of them.

“No Battle Plan Survives Contact With the Enemy”
Ohhh plz, that's like the whole "OMG!!!! GW2 Dragon copied DEATHWING!!!" kind of statement.
I'm personally exicted about this. I never did liked how Turbine handled DDO personally and which is evident that many felt the same way considering how much of the players left DDO and Turbine had to go F2P to save it. I think the Foundry system will be great, there is a reason why there is a large community that sticks with NWN2 or NWN PW and not play DDO.
As for the whole class limitation whining...get a grip. Cryptic is starting off with the basics and will expand upon it, in time there will be ample classes to chose from.
The author of the Neverwinter trilogy and WotC are working with Cryptic in developing NWO which is something worth noting. And 4e is the best edition to apply in an MMO or online Co-Op RPG game setting since look at how much "modifying" Turbine had to do with the rules in DDO.
There will certainly needs to be a proving on Cryptics part but I remain hopeful that they can pull through.

Actually, forums have a nasty habit of automatically shortening long URL's.
The best way to counter this is by putting a tag at both ends of the URL. One can also put the link inside the opening URL tag by doing [url] and then simply type the name of the article. Hope this helps.![]()
