Thumbs up Max damage caster build request

    Hi all,

Im new to the game and being new i wanted everthing (stupid i know) and i asked for a melee/caster. I have sinced learnt that to do this as a newbie is way over my head to do it and make it work well for me

So after some thought i have come to the conclusion that i have a ranger build that is good for melee purposes.

So i would like to request a wizard or sorcerer build (or a mix of the two if it works best) that would give me the ability to self heal (maybe heal team mates). But mainly i want the ability to cast massive damage at the enemy.

I only have access to a 28pt build but i am now a VIP so most of the races/classes are availible to me.

As before, many thanks for all your help and sorry to put in 2 build requests in as many days, and thanks to those who cleared up how difficult it would be to achieve the first build request.

There are tons of Warforged Sorcerer builds, and they get the best DPS as an arcane caster by far...I'd recommend you look into those.

Most people would recommend Wizard rather than Sorcerer for a beginner, but I disagree. I'm very much a newbie to arcanes; I've tried them many times (but briefly) before U9 and I couldn't get to grips with them. Since the patch though I've taken both the arcanes through the early levels and I've got to say I found the Sorc the easiest.

Wizards are forced into this crowd control / utility / weird-and-wonderful-effects sort of niche, whereas Sorcs can be unashamed balls-out damage dealers. The punch line is that the direct damage spells are a lot easier to understand. If you ignore all that Wizardy stuff (CC is for Sorcs with past lives) and just concentrate on the obviously essential buffs and direct damage you can't really go wrong. The Savant enhancements make it easier still; If you're going Earth Savant then pick all the earthy stuff and skip all the windy stuff, yeah?

Max Cha. Dump Dex and Wis. Put as many points into Con as you can. Put what you want in Int. Put the rest in Str.

If you're new, I highly suggest Sorc. You won't get overwhelmed with tons of spell choices and you'll have more SP to play around with and get used to the rate at which you use it. Once you're comfortable with general casting, try out a Wiz.

If you want to self-heal at any point, go Warforged since you get Repair & Reconstruct as arcane spells. Orrr, you can go a different race and keep increasing your UMD and eventually use cure wands and heal scrolls. UMD is cross-class on a Sorc, but your key ability is Cha, anyway.
