Ok, I posted this here because Im having PC problems but its not just DDO. Im not very technically minded only knowing what I have taught myself through running a pc for a few years. I have no technically minded friends and I dont go on alot of forums.... so.... Im going to burden you lot... because theres loads of geeky comp bods on here.... and i have a user name so i can post.... so there.

A few weeks ago I was having pc problems. I made a thread about it at the time but basically I replaced the PSU, the disk drive, the graphics card and the cooling unit (for a great big sub station looking beast)

Since then, on aload of occassions Ive been getting a blue screen and reset. often while playing DDO but also while doing other stuff. I done some google searches and read that it was probably because of a conflict between avast 6 and vista.... I had swapped to avast a few weeks before installing the new componants. I had been using AGV before buying the full avast pack. So, I swapped back to norton 360.

My PC is running like a sack of spanners. Its slow, lagging when just trying to load desk top stuff. freezing, crashing. crashing while loading. freazing while crashing (which is my personal favorite) .... its a right old mess.

I ran virus scans (which found, and fixed a trojan but scans since then are clean) Ive defraged, disc scanned. Yesterday I reformatted my hard drive, updated all my drivers, norton is up to date installed DDO, which at the moment is the only thing ive put back on my newly formatted HD except norton and the driver for my wireless connector. And still its running like ****.

im such a sad bunny. I cant afford to take it too the pc shop atm either, which is proper sucky..... Surely theres not much left to go wrong.... Hard drive failing?.... its working fine at the moment but i had to power down a min ago as it froze up while trying to log into windows.

Other then the hard drive, theres the mother board and the sound card.... but thats about it inside the case.... everything else is new and up to date with drivers...... I get proper frustrated with computers. Give me an engine ill strip it and rebuild it no bother..... why cant a computer just come up with a message

"X is wrong with your PC do Y and it will be fixed".... instead I get

"do you want to compose a very pretty but completely useless report which I might or might not send to microsoft but eitherway it will make sod all differance and you will have no idea of the outcome"

stoopid computers. Its a conspiricy I tells ya!
