Ran my first Shroud last night on my cleric Izaak. Having only run TS, Chrono and Reaver before, it was more what I expected a raid to be like.
Despite my attempt at anticipatory healing through the lag I managed to get the group leader killed in part 3 (?). Lag accounted for a lot of it, but I'll have to take some blame too. I don't think I screwed up much or held the group back otherwise. Having read all the Shroud drama here on the forums I was a bit nervous so I didn't contribute as well as I might otherwise.
Thanks to the group leader for taking me and the other divines for helping out. The little initiation/hazing was pretty funny and made it feel special. Feel free to tell me if I did something wrong.
For future first timers:
- Don't be afraid to ask for help
- The greater SP pots I'd got from Vale quest end rewards came in useful (if you run as a divine as I did).
- Familiarize yourself with the puzzle solver. My guildie PM'd me the URL just before the quest so I didn't have the time to figure out how to use it.
