The Lesser Anti Beholder Crystal off the DDO Store does not stop Enervation - Soloing Invaders on Casual difficulty on my lvl 8 FS/4 Fighter I'm taking 6-9 Neg Levels each time {not each time I go in the quest but each set of beholders/elder beholder}.

I have Deathblock of course and I know Deathward is a complete waste of time around Beholders which is why I decided on Casual {knowing I was likely to take negs} but 4 per shot is just ridiculous and the fact that the Crystal off the store does nothing to stop this even more so.

This is not solo friendly quest.
Of course - The biggest disadvantage in this quest is being neg. leveled.
Still not all have necro packs to upgard their MUST BE silverfalmes nuggets, or are WF.
On the other hand with hew changes with spells Casters can easy nuke some beholders before they even get in range of antimagic. Next "easy" killer is Arcane archer, or well trained in sneaking rogue.

Could it be that tokens don't always drop on casual difficulty? I've heard that applies to other chest rewards for other quests, such as the ingredients and stones from the Vale quests.

You are a FvS. You can get restoration spells and scrolls. I can almost understand complaining about negative lvls on a different class but not a divine. Even the named items have their limitations so the idea that the store bought item would make you immune to beholders completely is wrong. Also feel free to pug this quest on a higher difficulty for more tokens. Pugs are fine on this quest.

Wasn't asking for the store bought item to make me completely immune.

It has 20 charges - 10 were used up by the end of the quest {On Casual}.

I bought it after the 4 Deaths {7 if you count Miranda's Deaths}.

4th Death was outside the shrine.

I bought Tanya later after realising it didn't work on Enervation {Miranda wasn't casting Restoration - Neither did Tanya}.

I know now that Fergus and Laerathor are the hirelings with the spell {both of these are a bit low lvl for the quest}.

I have 20 Tokens on this character {He has pugged 3 normal runs and led an elite favour run with lvl 20s}.

I wished to finish getting tokens without waiting for another group that's all - this clearly did not work out.

If only you hadn't taken so many fighter levels early on.

As your first 5th level spell, you can choose Divine Punishment. Cast it once on a beholder, and run run run. Watch the combat log for when it dies, then go back and put it on another beholder.

You could solo the quest on normal and maybe even hard that way, depending on your feats and gear.

(A shame you took 4 fighter levels. No flying for you. )

About the fighter lvls -

This was my 3rd character in DDO.

He has 16 int {I'm a 2nd ed player where int was much more worthwhile for all classes}.

He started as a fighter.

I bought FS soon after and decided he was going to be favoured by the gods.

First 4 lvls were fighter lvls.

He is now a Favoured Soul and will be TRd into a pure FS.

Yes he's gimped, I know this but I'm also definitely not willing to delete him.

P.S. Woot: The 2nd hire is a DDO store hire yes. Miranda is a standard hire from Guild Vendors.
