a question about hate.

if a mage or cleric is using a sheild do they gain/suffer the hate bonus associated with using a shield since update 9?

im talking about spell use here generating hate. obviously they will generate more hate if using a mele weapon and a sheild.

I don't know of any arcanes that would use shields, but if a healer type uses one they should not get any increased hate generation unless they are using the intimidate skill.

The only increased hate while using a shield is if you're using Intimidate as well.
And it should function that way for every class.

How it works:

If you are using a shield, you do not automatically have an increased hate generation.

You click Intimidate, if it succeeds on even a single enemy, you get a short buff that says you get increased hate generation for wearing a shield for the duration of the buff.

Of course, by the time you finish reading it, it's halfway over

i do indeed have a mage that has both intmidate and can use a sheild.
Ill dive into some lowbee content to see if i can read the buff i get.
