    Default Requesting a fvs build

I was wondering if anybody would take the time to make me a really good melee fvs build. I am looking for something that can dish out good melee dps, maintain a decent amount of survivability, and still be able to buff and heal if needed. I do not care about losing my ability to cast offensive spells since that would direct points towards wisdom and away from cha/con/str. I would like to have it be TWF but I understand how tight that would make my stats, so THF is better, but if somebody can make a good TWF fvs, I would love that. I have 32 point builds and all races so no restrictions. I do not have a main or anything so it would be hard for me to get tomes and/or good equipment right off the bat.

I know you said that you may not have access to tomes and what not right away but the below build could give you some examples on a melee THF FvS.

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=268346

For a TWF you could go with Human and start with something like this:

    Stats:
16 Str, 15 Dex, 15 Con, 8 Int, 8 Wis, 14 Cha and only need a +2 Dex tome or take 2 from Cha and put into Dex so you only need a +1 tome.

    For feats:
    Toughness (1), TWF (Human), Extend (3), Quicken (6), ITW (9), Maximize (12), Improved Critical (15), GTWF (18).

The above should get the creative juices flowing and others will be able to shed more insight as well.

I have one similar to this but an elf to take advantage of the Valenar Scimitar enhancements. For her I went 16, 16, 14, 8, 8, 14 for starting stats and dropped GTWF as I did not have the extra feat Human gives you.

The soul survivor is a little bit outdated, if only because it doesn't include the AoV pre.

Check out Angel of Blades: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=309445

IC: Slash, Power Attack, Toughness, empower, maximize, quicken, Adamantine Body

It is really quite hard to beat this setup. You have an extreme amount of survivability thanks to WF immunities, massive DR, self-healing, barb level DPS thanks to the pre, Divine Punishment and greatsword enhancements.

TWF builds can eek out more DPS, but almost necessarily requires splashing to fighter or monk for feats, which means you lose out on capstone DR, some healing capacity, and caster levels on divine punishment.

Regardless of what you choose though, do NOT dump your offensive casting ability. I would not build a divine without empower and maximize as a minimum, anymore. Divine punishment and smiting enhancements are quite potent. (You can still dump WIS if you like.)

Since others have pointed you to WF LoB builds, I'll post a couple of TWF Undying Court builds for comparison. Neither is set in stone; they're mostly to give you some idea of what your options are and the tradeoffs involved.

The first is a tome-free pure elf FvS. It's a bit suboptimal because of the lack of tomes (e.g., normally would start DEX 15 or 16 and take a tome to hit 17 for ITWF & GTWF), but the advantage is you don't have to worry about finding them if you're starting fresh on a new server. The advantages of staying pure are getting your spells ASAP and getting your free DR 10 at lvl 20; the main disadvantage is a severe feat shortage - only two metamagics and no Improved Crit Slash means you'll want to stick with keen/Min2 scimitars.

For spells you would focus on heals, buffs, and the no-save light spells (Nimbus, Searing, Divine Punishment) to take advantage of the Smiting enhs and debuffs from AoV. The only skill I would bother with is Concentration.

The second build is a HE monk 2 / FvS 18; she gives up the capstone DR for Evasion and two extra feats; I added Imp Crit Slash & Emp Heal to boost her melee DPS and her Heals. She requires a +2 DEX tome, so may not be the best choice if you don't have any resources to start.

it isn't outdated at all it is still the best warforged FvS build out there and my favorite but it is designed to tank heal and dole out melee dps if you were to get the AoV en to enhancements then you would have to drop tanking all together which is fine for most favored souls because FvS are not expected to tank however if you lost out on damage or healing you are considered gimp especially if you are warforged however if you are not warforged you definatly want to grab AoV but if you are warforged go soul survivor which is in this link http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php...=sole+survivor
