I can't help but tell THIS story :P

I read several posts earlier from over a dozen people talking about stuff like the encrusted ring and kyosho's. I can't help it, I must have some of the most ******** luck on the server.

I know no one probably cares but this is how it started.... Wall rape inc?

As my name implies my character is Disavow, 2nd life 20 FvS with PL FvS. Came back to DDO after about a year out of game. Moved to Khyber where I had a (at the time of quitting) 16 capped clr and 10 rog. Decided I needed a refresher and wanted to try out the (new to me) Favored Soul.

So I started a human FvS named Disavow Faith. I hadn't been on the server that long in a long time, and hadn't been active on the forums much even when I had been playing, so I didn't actually know about Eric (Disavowed).
You should have been there when I got contacted by him, and then less than a week later by the ENTIRE drunken raid group ( who were of course, totally smashed at this time). They were telling me to reroll while laughing their asses off.

Anywhoo... Just a new character, having fun. Even took the human/HO Dragonmark of Finding. Fun to poke barrels for throw away wands! Got Dis to level 20 (FvS18/Mnk2), had flagged for all the raids, had only done shroud like 2 or 3 times, whatever. Then the laffo night hit.

Got invited to heal E^Dragon. Haven't done VoN in how long, but whatever, Imma just heal. Everything goes perfect, PUG grouped and all (this is nearly impossible btw) Dragon drops, chest pops, SoS.

<3. Friend in group is like oh you had BETTER TR into something that can use that. I wave it in front of my guild and store it in the bank. So I am sitting around in House K talking guild chat, when I get a random tell.
"hey wanna heal epic dq? just need 1 and were gtg."

I have to admit, i had gotten my clr flagged for DQ, but I had NEVER run the raid before, on any character. I said yes... just have to heal :P
Do part 1, interesting. Get in part 2, ball method, neat way to do things. ***** drops, chest pops, Torc. O_o

I show it to my guild and that friend (he logged too quickly though T,T). I look at this gear going.... I can probably TR soon.... And I really needed to. 210 hp at level 20 with no fort item and just evasion, I might have forgotten to actually GET her any gear, I could just heal through most stuff. So a week later I xfer my mats from my clr, Make a Conc Opp cloak and TR into a (Bow to Sirgog) Soul Survivor build FvS.

For those that don't know, level 12 with Conc Op, Torc, SoS and quickened heal, is ********. And just fyi, everytime I tell this story, someone asks me whether I went and got a lotto ticket that night. I did not, too much drooling to be done at the time I suppose.

i'm glad you have a great sense of humor, because that could have gone another way.

although a whole raid group getting hit with the banhammer would have been kinda awesome too.

There is a teeny on khyber, I have a cleric teentiny - not sure which of us was first, but my old guild was up in arms (back around the first 8th update) when we were getting a shroud group together & I was on teenytiny & teeny ran buy - party chat lit up with everyone yelling that he stole my name... LOL

Someone out there on Khyber is running around with toons all named variations of Melecat/Mellecat/etc and people join their lfms thinking it is me and are then surprised by a male voice Apparently they're a nice guy so that's good. I have toons beginning with 'Mel' but no variation of Melicat.

Awesome though Disavow on the SOS and the torq Gratz! That would so rock.

Yep, I've run with that guy before on his wiz. Nice guy, impossible to get upset with him for any reason. Was nice zerging Rainbow with him and a couple of others.

I had a bit of luck this life on my Barb. First VoD and I pulled Tharnes Goggles, first ToD and I pulled Verik's Ring (not the best for a barb, but still nice).

In his first life he pulled Marlith Chain on his first ADQ raid and Levik's Bracers on his first HoX (think they drop there, if not then first VoD).

Still not got that darn sos though! Not even the seal or shard, despite running VoN 1 dozens of times on epic, killing all the mobs and the raid over 10 times. Oh well.

I had a lot of trouble getting those two items. Ended up having both drop in the chest on 20th runs that weren't my first 20ths (Torc dropped under my name, insta-loot, it was on the 20th reward list but I wasn't taking any chances; SoS dropped under someone else's name but they passed it to me given that I had owned the scroll seal and shard for a long while; SoS wasn't on my 20th list.

Grats tho - and at level 12, yes they are utterly insane. They won't get worse.

just saw the shard drop in epic von1, and it was for the only melee in the group and he was looking for it 2.
