Default TR with multi classed characters

Not sure this is the right place but it seemed to be the closest to my question.

I currently have a 20monk, I picked up a couple of the +5 lesser hearts and was going to respec to 10x/10monk and then TR. I'm trying to figure out how the past life is chosen when TRing with two classes at an equal number of levels.

I'm also considering which of the past lives would help me the most. I am looking at pally for the healing amp, fighting for the to-hit bonus, and maybe rogue for the SA dmg. I'm leaning more toward pally since the monk I have now has a lot of healing amp and I'm enjoying it.

I want to make sure that the class I pick as X will be the class I end up with for my past life when I TR. I found a post that said that the order is alpha (among the original classes), and then monk and FvS since that is the order that they were added to the game but I want some more confirmation before I layout this much of an investment. I want to make sure I'm going to end up with exactly what I expect before I cross any points of no return.

I would appreciate any help that people could give me.

Verified in game - it functions as you describe. Pal > Monk

If you respec into a 10 PAL / 10 MNK, you will TR with a paladin past-life feat. If you respec into 10 FTR / 10 MNK, you will TR with a FTR past-life feat. If you respec into a 10 ROG / 10 MNK, you will TR with a monk past-life feat.

Your class icon order will verify this. One you respect into a 10 ROG / 10 MNK, say, the monk class icon will appear second. This lets you know that the past-life feat you pick up will be monk.

Everything is alphabetical for 10/10 splits save MNK and FvS, which come at the end of the alphabet, and in that order. Treat MONK as XMONK and FvS as ZFVS for purposes of alphabetical ordering. Since P comes before Z, Paladin trumps ZFVS.

Obviously if your split is not 10/10, the above doesn't apply. Then your dominant class will fix your past-life feat.

Wouldn't a 10 ROG/ 10 MONK have the Rogue past life feat? If MONK is treated as XMONK then R would be before X and you would have the rogue past life.

From what I can see, as a monk you could respec to 10x/10monk and pick up any past life you want with the exception of FvS.
