Hello, everyone!

Metalbone of Orien here - applying for Invisible Angel.

I got a little sloppy towards the end (evidenced by the two ticked off guards behind me), and had luck with the rare not being in, but here it is:

Alright I've done two challenges that I'll submit now.

The first is Ethereal Hand.



The second is Smooth Criminal. The first screenshot shows that I killed 11 enemies BEFORE I stole the silver mirror, so that you know for sure that I didn't kill any of the mephits or gargoyles (or the giant for that matter). The second screenshot shows the moment I stole the mirror, and the last screenshot is getting to safety, still with the silver mirror and no enemies killed. Since I'm level 20, I did this on epic instead of elite.

EDIT: Ohhh forgot to capture the bottom half since I need to prove only one kill was used. I will do this again tomorrow.

Congrats! I imagine it wasn't the spot I showed you? That spot is only really good if things go south, and you have to complete in a less than clean fashion.

What was that bow? Greater... evil outsider bane?

nope on both counts. the trick helped me deal with Sobrien a bit easier, and the x-bow is my trusty true chaos of pure good that i picked up before i respeced from mechanic to assassin. (was a good beater loaded with silver bolts, and pretty good for shooting a lawful evil giant.)

many sleet storm scrolls and an embarassing number of noisemakers (just made em for the first time and was still learning how to use them properly) went into the making of this completed challenge.

I've been wondering about that. Is the Total Package doable without noisemakers?

without noisemakers, yes. without a way to make some noise to guide mobs out of your way, no.

and as for the bow? i have no idea. i was more excited about finally finishing and getting a sexy seal to boot. i'll check later. XD

I'm curious what the trick was that helped put you over the edge.

As for going without noisemakers, yes it's possible. There's the technique of using a ranged weapon to ping the walls and draw the mobs to that sound.

Or a lot of casters rely on the technique of going invisible and getting close enough for mobs to hear you but not so close they aggro. That will usually get them to move, and when you're good at it (I'm not) you can manipulate them pretty well.

You can do it without using invis pots/wands/clickies by sneaking, but wearing a chattering ring or removing move silently gear.

I've not practiced that technique much, and I prefer noisemakers cause you can be pretty precise with them, and if you mess up it doesn't matter - the mob is paying attn to the noisemaker not you and you can just try again when the mob "resets".

Accomplishments (Unfortunately, I did not document these, but I intend to duplicate and document most of them.):
Moving Shadow (Full group backpack, of course)
Smooth Criminal (Full group Epic - helps to have DM of Passage :-P)
Untwister (I don't think this is that hard nor necessarily roguely, but eh)
Ethereal Hand (This one hurt - ALOT - full group - was forced to pike EVON 6 lol)
Boatman (Doesn't every rogue do this at some point? Okay, correction - GOOD rogue? :-P)

MEDIC!!! - Solo scroll heal an Epic Boss Fight in a full party after the healer has exhausted resources (or from go). (Admittedly this means running with a less than adequate healer or none at all...) - Garos in Snitch

I plan on Pink Panther and Danger Deflector VERY soon.

Also, Barterbot First True Hagglebot, Orien WF Rog 20 Mech II

Accomplishments (Unfortunately, again, there are no documentations and intensions to duplicate and document.)
Moving Shadow (This is much harder on this toon as it's sneak barely gets above 50 WITH buffs. It actually requires noisemakers to get past Guardian 5!)
Boatman (probably, anyway lol)

(Incomplete) True Hagglebot - Obtain haggle score of 100 as a WF - currently 80+ (SELF buffed - undergeared a bit yet)
(Incomplete) S.W.A.T. Team - The Total Package with the following differences - FULL party of rogue icon toons and the kill is a misadventure. Also involved in this venture are Pickt D'Locks and Krimsonrayne among others.

If there were a healer version of this, I would submit Medimeth Repeated, Orien Halfling FVS 20
Resourceful Savior of Korthos - Solo Misery's Peak BEFORE Echoes of Power at level 2 (normal) WITHOUT using ANY potions or shrines!
Deneith Resourcefulness - Heal a full party through ETide without using potions or shrines (Actually, this is pretty easy with a decent FvS supported by a good Spellsinger)

This is a great thread. Can't believe I missed it before.

One of the things I like about console games are the stealth games and I've never really been able to replicate that feel in DDO. It seems like every time I solo with a rogue I am eventually forced to fight a room full of mobs, so I keep giving up on stealth and switch back to 'hack 'n heal.'

This thread makes me want to give it another go though.

Heya, saw this thread and thought to give some of the challenges a shot.

I did completed the challenges for Ethereal Hand, The Master Locksmith (evon 1&5) and Moving Shadow/The total package (perfect eclaw run)
Smooth criminal too now.

I tried to solo enter the kobold on elite, but failed at the end fight (**** you meteor showers), i'll try hard later, that should go fine.

The hardest challenge in my opinion is the Master Infiltrator one (sins of attrition, solo max 5 kills). I completed it solo on elite with 17 kills so the run was certainly not perfect although it's is possible for a pure rogue! (Some thieflings killed themselves by proc'ing my guards (hint!) and i got spotted by a devil that spawned right in front of me, had to clear the wave)
I might try this one once more when i have the heart for it, but i'm posting a screenshot of my last run anyway as i don't see anyone else trying it. It's fun and possible with only 5 kills!

My rogue Triumore the Hand is a pure rogue human assassin on the Thelanis server.
He's on his 4th life, the 3th being a 18/2 pally/rogue life, so i think i can claim the lord of shadows challenge too :-p

Deadly Firedancer: enter the kobold on hard. Elite should be possible but i need to find some decent deception weapons to up my dps at the end fight.
