    Default My Sorcerer 101

Sorcerers, specifically savant sorcerers are egotistical soloists. With that in mind, the following holds true.

    1) Remember, when a sorcerer joins your lfm, everyone else in the party must immediately thank him/her for joining up.

    2) Remember, melees are in the group to serve as mob distractions until the sorcerer can cast a max/empowered fireball. At which point, melees should proceed to the next room to serve as distractions in that next room.

    3) Remember, thank the sorcerer once again when the quest is completed. (He/she does have a big ego and sorcerers do usually just solo.)

    4) Remember, occasionally press the 'x' button and comment on the sorcerer's massive kill count total in comparison to other party members. (Things like, "You rock sorcerer dude!", "I'm rerolling to a sorcerer today!" and "When I grow up, I want to be just like you sorcerer." are all appreciated.)

I can't be sure, but I think I'm detecting a bit of sarcasm in that post.

Are you implying the sorcerers are better at soloing quests than wizards? Because I run a wizard and there are definitely quests I cannot solo.

Should I put all of her equipment into the bank and immediately roll up a sorcerer?

Sorcerers don't need heals. The cleric should thank the sorcerer for coming along and killing everything while being totally self-sufficient.

Because, as everyone knows, even a blind, deaf, illiterate, one-armed child can pwn everything as a spell caster, while melees are always second-rate gimps. Regardless of game experience, gear, build, etc, etc.

Thank you for this reminder message.

People on my server were sometimes forgetting the basic protocol when I condescend to join their groups, and this will serve as a good reminder for them!!

Melees, don't hate us because we are beautiful. When we are cut, do we doth not bleed?

Don't envy us for our ability to convince you to be our pets; merely bask in our glory.

Do not feel shame for thanking us to show you the true meaning of power...it is always our pleasure to remind you thus.

But...do not worry, few can handle the mighty power of the dragon blood, there will always be a place for the rest.

*Nods* I know, I know. Your tears motivate us to press onward.

As a sorc I think I speak for us all when I say you melees would see more numbers of 1000+ drifting out of mob's heads followed by a little skull if you cast more spells.

I was running with a barbarian in my party the other day and he didn't cast any spells! Not a one. He said it was because he couldn't blah blah (honestly I wasn't really listening, it was hard to hear over my kill count anyway).
