    Default Handwrap bug fixes?

    So...another update and still no fixes to known issues with handwraps to hit and damage bonus? Using crafted ones would work too, except holy wraps still don't bypass DR.

    I don't think any bugs can be fixed.. Since there aparently wasn't even a patch, they just flipped the swithc to unlock U10, which was already on lam. (and spawn the unbound crafting altars)

    It's just really irritating having to change 3 other pieces of equipment every time I want to change handwraps. It makes it really unpractical to switch in combat with what should be 1 click to get to a more effective weapon.


    It's been over a month (3 months since 9 went live on Lamma?). I don't see why they haven't been able to put out a hotfix for it yet during 9.x

    Because it does not benefit the players? Sadly, that is their SoP. Had the bug been ‘reversed’ and say kept applying the bonuses of your previous wraps as you switch, **** straight it would be patched within the week.

    Easy scroll farming in Red Fens? Shut the pack down. Debilitating bug crippling a class? Wait it out

    It is pretty clear that handwraps were made seperate. I would wager fixes for them will be legnthy and take a long time to iron out.

    I am pretty sure any fixes for them will come up between now and u10's release. Or another attempt to fix them.

    Cuz its monks... i mean, they obviously dont care about the only p2p melee class as seen by how theyve been treating us the past few updates, i wouldnt be surpised if their trying to run us outta the game...

    Since this is relevant, and since it should also be brought to the Devs attention here, here is a repost of additional bugs beyond the enhancement bonus glitch:

    I read over the thread that detailed the HW enhancement bonus bug, and didn't see this problem there, so figured that it deserved another thread.

    Basically, on top of the enhancement bonus glitch, there is an additional glitch concerning the Dhakaani Vigor airship buff, which confers +2 stacking damage to melee attacks. This glitch has several parts.

    A) It does not stack with the Monk passive past life, so there is only a net increase of 1 damage.

    B) If you change Handwraps, either to crafted or non-crafted, the buff is lost, leaving only the +1 passive past life.

    C) The buff remains on your buff bar, but even if you change back to the original Handwraps, it does not come back in actuality.

    D) Using the workaround for the enhancement bonus glitch does not work for the buff glitch, as far as I can tell. Tried toggling Power Attack, drinking a heroism pot, switching to Goggles of Insight, and switching into crafted +2 attack goggles. Although these will (inconsistently!) fix the enhancement bonus problem, it does nothing for the airship buff.

    I imagine this is an additional consequence of the enhancement glitch itself, but I seriously hope that it is fixed to not only allow the airship buff to persist across multiple handwraps after switching, but also to allow the passive past life to stack with the buff.

    Also bug-reported ingame, but figured it could use some publicity on the forums as well.
    And more:

    An update:

    Apparently there are more bugs. These are the other ones I've stumbled across:

    * When you receive offensive bard songs like Inspire Courage, switching handwraps will negate the bonuses while leaving the icon in the buff bar
    * Crafted handwraps are not applying DR-bypassing properties, such as good. (EG, Holy Handwraps of Vampirism do not break trash devil DR).


    Much like the airship buff bug, there is no way to regain the bard buffs after switching handwraps, outside of having the bard refresh the buffs.

    These bugs were not bug reported because the ingame bug report feature is not currently working for me, but I'll try again later.

    Additional bug:

    If you equip crafted handwraps with lets say holy damage, then switch items that change to-hit bonus, handwraps will stop applying holy damage.

    Any devs could give us a vague ETA on a fix for this bug? At least make me believe my favorite class won't be crippled for 3 more months...

    This is a very bad and annoying bug. I have one unarmed character and this is driving me nuts..

    Yeah, I have 2 lt. Monks as primary toons and changing handwraps is essential to effective gameplay as a monk. Given the recent change in Ki generation sometimes it's difficult to be able to do the walk of the sun finisher prior to engaging mobs, and it takes away ki from other attacks or buffs that might be better suited to a particular situation.

    Not a single comment by a real dev is seriously dissapointing, Jerry is a great guy, but I guess I'd like to see this get a bit more attention than an acknowlegement by a forum moderator... T

    I've shelved my monk until this is fixed Too bad I was having a lot of fun with her before.
