    Default Outdoor Zone Suggestions

I've got a few suggestions for outdoor zones i'd like to see. I think they are good ideas

    Special Vendors
    - Will only talk to you if you acheived a certian slayer rating
    - Sell speed buffs that work only in the zone (allow for faster zone movement)
    - Discount healing potions that only work in that specific zone
    - Allows for new items to be created just for the zone
    - Think of the vendors like zone reputation, the more you've done the more you're rewarded

    Map Discovery
    - Each explorer permantly opens up that map
    - 100% explorer permantly opens up 100% of the map

    Special Zone Event
    - If you get 100% slayer,100% rare and 100% explorer it should open a neat in zone event
    - perhaps a all rare's will spawn at the same time on your location

That would be a challenge for the Subterrane or the Devil's Battlefield.

I'm not a huge fan of this idea. I like that explorer zones are strictly optional, and need only be done if you want them to be done. Adding in further rewards beyond XP and special loot/items from the Rares is not something that I'd like to see. Pretty soon there would be LFMs like "Must Have Vendor in [X] Zone! BYOH!"...

What exactly do you mean by "opens up" a map? If you mean permanently removes the fog of war effect... why? If you've run a zone to get all the explorers points, chances are you know where you are going even with the fog in place. If you mean otherwise, please elaborate.

Again, I think that accomplishing the goals in an explorer zone should be the reward... and no others are needed. We already get an XP bonus for completion. And, were all the named to pop up in one place - the player would likely expect a hefty bonus chest as compensation. I don't think that's necessary.

Don't even talk about the Vale, though! All those gnoll casters summoning mephits, and I'm a sympathetic puker! Just the sound of a mephit makes me wanna-

the key to the map discovery is Each explorer permantly opens up that map, or removes fog for that area

I like this idea... what's it really going to hurt by adding this in...kind of like PnP, you don't keep hiding the the area of the map that your players have already been to...do you?

What I would hope for in a new wilderness area, is one similar the desert
that has rare item drops. A carrot to chase as it were.

Hopefully a new, large terrain, with a theme leaning towards a massive content
update. Once again similar in size and scope the desert or GH.
You see in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.
