We have druids?
But lets look at that aspect...
Druids are proficient with the following weapons: club, dagger, dart, quarterstaff, scimitar, sickle, shortspear, sling, and spear.
Club you could at least use a shield.
Daggers and darts are just right out as nice.
Shortspear, slings, and spears aren't in the game.
Scimitar and sickle... There is already one scimitar listed, but not much in the way of nice finesse slicing weapons. Making this a sickle would be better for the player masses, if not as NPC cool looking.
Unposted item found in Sane Aslyum after doing the puzzle. It's interesting... another earslug thingy with something about Anti-Madness. Someone'll be by soon with a screenshot.

What a relevant and useful response.
I know that all of the druid players in the game do not care about the dps output of their weapons and only view their item choices through the lense of flavor.
I guess we will have to wait for at least another year before those druid players can chime in and comment if all they care about is flavor though

The trinket will be nice to bridge the gap.
GFL to upgrade from duskheart.
Exceptional con till I get a +3 tome.
Exceptional fort to offset inspire reckless
And the madness offset for the parasitic armor
I am an AOE....
That exceptional CON will bridge the gap I have until I get my earth Savant ring. Either that, or get the trinket with exceptional CHA, and change my DragonTouched to Exc. CON, but then i'd have to just change it back when I do get the ring.

Wouldn't that make this higher base damage than Any Green Steel? I would agree on the idea of upping base damage but doing more base damage than a two handed green steel maul seems a bit high.
Also new trinket out in other thread:

Gotta say I am pretty disappointed the about the longsword. Why the devs love making these situationally useful and mostly awful longswords is baffling. It would be really nice to have a real good one to beat stuff with. something along the lines of retribution from threnal but better.
A buddy told me they made a new longsword. was stoked and figured i would check the forums. I thought to myself they could not possibly make another gimpy toy sword from the new pack. some things gotta give right? It has to be time for a amazing longsword that everyone will want. Something to compete with shroud stuff? To my utter surprise i find the watchers blade. I total waste of time for 95% of the builds playing this game. kinda sucks!
What is it gonna take for the devs to make a good longsword? This thing is junk. No one will bother. No fvs would use it. no cleric would use it. A ac tank who does not have +4 ac item may use it once then switch back to whatever it is he had before. monks sure are not gonna go near this thing. So who ? Not me. Maybe you? Idk?
Cmon devs, revamp this sword and make it crazy. make it insane and wicked, like the theme of the new pack. This one item just seems utterly disappointing! look at some some of the other items and compare it to this longsword? something is way off here!
Nice thread btw Sirgog. +1 for bringing this stuff to my attention and good suggestions you have to. Hopefully the devs listen and do some tweaking.

This trinket and the Mini-Tharnes goggles for my 17 Ranger/Fighter, the other trinket for my 15 (soon to be 16) Cleric... Yeah, I'll be getting REAL familiar with this new chain
(And that new Scimi doesn't look too bad for my 20 Ranger either, at least until he can finish his LitII)
[QUOTE=sirgog;3834970]Unstable Handwraps
+5
Anarchic Burst
Axiomatic Burst
Lawful Outsider Bane
Chaotic Outsider Bane
-10 Concentration
- Against DR 15 bosses such as the main Devils on Normal, this is superior to the Devout Handwraps by about 1-2 damage per swing (even on a non-Shintao) - if you can stomach the Concentration penalty. It's practically impossible to ennumerate the loss of DPS from Ki loss - but if you 'run on empty' on Ki it's almost no loss.
- Against Epic Lailat, these are also likely better than the Devouts (DR 20 so 3-4 damage behind per hit, but she has a significant AC, and the extra 5 to-hit over Devouts is likely the difference between Power Attack being on or off).
- For a somewhat-geared Shintao 3 (with a Holy Burst TOD ring and PrE Silver/Cold Iron DR bypass), these wraps are incredible DPS wraps for both Demons and Devils.
- Better wraps can be crafted, but only with extremely high crafting levels.
- I think these are fine where they are. Only the most well-equipped Monks will not want a set of these.
/QUOTE]
Nice post, but I don't see that these handwraps are as good as some of the other loot. Given the dearth of named handwraps, I'm sure that they will get farmed, but a banisher would give more damage without the penalty wouldn't it? And where I see that handwraps do not give the neg level for cross alignment, I've seen that reported as a bug. If that were fixed then the neg level and the -10 concentration would be too large of a penalty.
The warhammer seems overpowered as I can't imagine that a DC 33 stone prison would not fire on at least half the mobs since the vampiric handraps at DC17 are still working at level 16 quests. Coupled with the other effects and a relatively meaningless penalty, I think it is an incredible cc off hand weapon.
Ok, earlier on I complained that the staff should be Byeshk. I'm starting to move away from that idea with the staff. I do think the other weapons should have Byeshk though.
Here's my reasoning on moving away from it. It's Druid weapon (as much as I'd like it to be an Acrobat weapon) so Byeshk can't be on it. As it stands, the staff is just a Greater Aberration Bane with a slight chance (if people are correct) of Sunburst ever working properly. If that's the case, it would be better to just craft a staff to do equal or better damage (if you're XP is high enough).
Perhaps adding Metalline to the staff will help, but then it would still just a +5 Metalline staff of Greater Aberration Bane with a slight chance of Sunburst going off at the appropriate levels. Adding Holy or Banish would probably make the staff too powerful. I also thought that adding Smiting or Greater Construct Bane to it would see thematically appropriate to close new portals, but will Metalline added to it will probably make it overpowered. So maybe just giving the staff better damage than a regular staff would be the best option if Metalline was added.
So my thoughts for the Staff's damaging properties would probably be a +5 (2d8 damage) Metalline Quarterstaff of Greater Aberration Bane with Sunburst (with an improved DC).
I just used anarch burst on live yesterday, no neg lvl. I just tested anarch burst wraps on lam as well, no neg lvl, not to-hit penalty (after casting gh to bump it back up, yay), and no loss of skills or hp, so monks still don't appear to take a neg lvl, unless they do from crafted/new content wraps.
