The problem with this and a lot of the recent gear is that it can be useful to a 1st lifer, but is useless to a TR, since GS gear outclasses it and has lower ML.

How about there are 2 versions of these items(by "these items", I mean items from the past 3-4 packs)?

1- Same as shown here and available in the recent packs on live.

2- Lower ML versions, that are BTC. (Maybe 4 levels lower ML?)

That should make the gear useful for 1st lifers and TRs, without making it twink gear.

Some of these items might have some nice niche uses. I'll be curious to see the proc rate on the Earthshatter hammer shatter effect. One could imaging 8-10 melee dual-wielding these against vulnerable targets as a viable CC/quick-kill option (if this works on enemies that are immune to vorpal).

I am amused that they've now misspelled the "Unwieldy" ability on multiple items.

My WF hate tanks are going to love the Disint Guard docent with Obsession added.

Yah srsly. I'm beginning to suspect this so-called "Greataxe of Shadows" is a figment of someone's imagination.

Why aren't any of the weapons byeshk? Couldn't the scimitar and the longsword at least benefit some from it?

When anyone gets a chance, I'd love to see how the new docents look equipped.

At some point they will go back to the Truthful One's storyline and the Dracolich's end loot should definetly be extremely epic. Here's to hoping.

+1 Confirm, I was in that run :P

I still would love that one with Radiance for my FvS, but too bad you can't take stuff back to live servers.

Greater Regeneration Light Hammer of Superior Radiance

Apparently it will take a lot of luck to get a decent version of that item. And why's it a hammer!?

Actually... why is it a hammer O.O? shouldn't it be a club?

*edit* maybe it can get some decent offensive stats for melee?

The altar is already in update 9, in the new Twelve. If you know how to access it you can look at the abilities from the altar ~ The altar is in the same room as the Amrath portal npc ~
Am i the only one who noticed that the only ones who are getting gipped, are the fleshy monks? all the other classes can use the new armors and such, if they want, to get these +10 will/reflex and still getting something else out of it. plus, for anyone who is a fist build, there is no real use for the handwraps, since it is easy to build handwraps that are as good as the wraps, and have no downsides.

Those handwraps are at once both enticing and disappointing. Clearly, they are meant for a Shintao as outsider beaters, but sadly, they fail when compared to crafted wraps. Why? -10 Concentration. That, and the crafted wraps will have greater bane, rather than regular bane. Also note that at level 16, the -10 concentration is pretty brutal (no monk capstone for bigger ki pools, no Oremi's for faster generation). Even at level 20 with the capstone, that's going to be 20 less ki you can have stored in your bar without ki degeneration.

To make these really worth having, I think either 1) make the Outsider Bane properyt Greater Banes instead (pretty potent, but then at least worth the -10 concentration) or 2) give the wraps True Law and True Chaos on top of their other properties (without any alignment restrictions as the two cancel each other out :P). As has been mentioned, only two properties will be going off at once; if the wraps gained True Law and True Chaos, as many as three properties could be going off, but if True Law and True Chaos were both going off, then none of the Burst or Bane effects are going off, so no biggy there (except the wraps are decent against, say, animals...).

    Greater Bane vs. True [ethics]

Greater Bane gets: +9 enhancement bonus total, with 6d6 extra damage per hit, and 3d6 on top of that on crits (10% of the time with Imp. Crit) vs. outsiders, for an average of 31.05 per hit. Against non-outsiders that are lawful/chaotic, you'd get +5 enhancement, 2d6 extra damage per hit, and 3d6 on top of that on crits (10%) for an average of 13.05 per it. Against non-outsiders that are neutral, you'd get just the +5 enhancement.

True [ethics] gets: +7 enhancement bonus total, with 5d6 extra damage per hit, and 3d6 on top of that on crits (10% of the time with Imp. Crit) vs. outsiders, for an average of 25.55 per hit. Against non-outsiders that are lawful/chaotic, you'd get +5 enhancement, 3d6 extra damage per hit, and 3d6 on top of that on crits (10%), for an average of 16.55 per hit. Against non-outsiders that are neutral, you'd get the +5 enhancement, plus 2d6 extra per hit, for an average of 12 per hit.

So, Greater Banes would deal about 5.5 more damage per hit against the target foe (these are beater wraps), but would deal 3.5 less damage against Lawful/Chaotic non-outsiders, and 7 less damage against Neutral non-outsiders.

If it were up to me, I'd up the Banes to Greater Banes, making these good to great demon/devil/daelkyr beaters that would still lose out to crafted wraps (by virtue that the crafted wraps don't give a -10 concentration)

This weapon reminds me of a one-handed version of the hammer from Super Smash Brothers that would fling enemies with a single hit.
I hope the grammatical ambiguity is resolved in favor of the player. That is to say, the enemy is what shatters, and not the weapon. Although that would be pretty funny.

Anyway, as a Q-staff user am I the only one excited about the new Q-Staff? It blinds things......WOOO, as someone who has 0 greensteel stuff this is looking real fancy for me. Remember guys the loot is made for everyone, you may find it underpowered to the stuff you spent weeks crafting but not everyone has the time to craft items they need.
I'm not sure if the 22 Reflex save for Sun Burst is too low or just right.

I really wish that the quarterstaff was Byeshk instead of Densewood so it could break Mindflayer DR.
