    Default Early quest waterfalls

While chain running early level quests it became impossible for me to ignore the fact that mobs run up the waterfalls in said quests unimpeded and more importantly can stand on them without penalty. Aside from the irritation value of running in place up the waterfall to melee said moband the fact that every waterfall is a huge advantage in terms of mobs chasing down players there is a bigger issue. Low level players have essentially no chance of having spring attack. Why is this an issue? Mobs get stationary attack values on these waterfalls and players do not. It should be fixed. Will it..

It is pretty irritating. I'm not sure who thought adding waterfalls and tar pits to low level quests was a good idea, but I really don't see what value they add. Personally, I think the slowdown is way more of a PITA than the issues they cause for melee. I absolutely despise Information is Key simply because of all the molasses you have to run through.

It's always a shame when the hammer of poor design choices smashes the fun of player tactical adaptation.

The DM hates you and will use everything they can to kill you, regardless if it is fair, legal, or remotely plausible.

It is a monster feat: waterfall climbing. Prerequisite: kobold.

Makes you think they had coded the climb skill back in beta and didn't made it to the live version.

i noticed the orcs and hobgoblins are now able to run up sheer cliff faces. i mean how does that help if your using a bow so you dont have to face them forceing them to run around the cliff. this was in the c. hills.

If it accounts for anything, i hate the harbor waterfalls. I like the ones in the red fens, they add to the look and arnt terrible terrian. Also shallow(ish) water, hate it, its pointless to have it imo.

Thank the gods they did finally clean up house p from what it used to be like, it would be awesome if some of the quests got a clean-up as well, but i dobt it would happen.

I know people will say "easy-button" but....really? The old style waterfalls dont affect battle that much, there just annoying, and slow.

    FYI... that aint water.

have to say ive never held it against the kobolds for runnin throught the 'water'. there probably quite well adapted to that environment - adventures are not.

if it were up to me id make them 'water falls' count as grease, flamable and everything.

here me devs! I demand grease falls!
