    Default Missing Paladin spells

Please add the missing paladin spells that are not for role playing use.

With the additions of the favoured soul mechanics the protect other spell amongst a couple of others will make paladins more wanted in difficult raids and more useful over all.

Any chance you'd be willing to explain details? I'm guessing a lot of us never learned the finer details of how paladins work outside of DDO (all I personally remember is some zaniness from First Edition). It would be easier to agree (or offer constructive criticism) if I knew what the spells you're thinking of actually do.

    Perhaps something from http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spellLists/paladinSpells.htm

    I don't see very many.

    you mean:
    Bless weapon
    Magic weapon
    Greater Magic weapon
    Shield other
    Dispel chaos

Do you want to remove the 5 spells that are NOT on the PnP list?

Yeah, the only one that stands out is Shield Other, which causes the caster to take half of the subject's damage.

Depending on implementation, this could be anywhere from hugely useful to downright game-breakingly powerful. The description doesn't actually specify what happens if a dozen paladins, clerics, and favored souls (it's a level 2 cleric spell, as well) start casting Shield Other on each other.

If characters Al and Barbara cast Shield other on Christine, do all three suffer 50% of Christine's damage? Or maybe it should be 33.3% each? Or maybe Al suffers half, then Barbara suffers half of the remaining half, so it's Al: 50%, Barbara: 25%, Christine: 25%.

Then what happens if Al and Barbara cast Shield Other on each other? Applying the spell's description literally, the exact result depends on whether and when variables are re-checked. Possibilities include:
    If Al gets hit:
Al takes 50%; Barbara takes 50%
Al takes 50%; Barbara takes 0%
Al takes limit as x->infinity of (the sum of ((1/2)^N), where N goes from 1 to x). In other words, 100%. Barbara takes 1 minus the above sum, or 0%.

Also, whose damage reduction is applied, and when? If it's a spiritual link, when my Lord of Blades Favored Soul casts it, damage to the subject should get under the favored soul's adamantine shell; however, his fire resistance is inherent and should presumably apply to spiritual fire.

So, yeah. Fun spell! And that's saying nothing of its freakish ability to divide the hitpoint needs of a boss tank across a band of mass-healing-aura clerics.

I can see it now, 11 pallies and 1 radiant cleric in elite ToD.

You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

I've been wondering why spells like these aren't in the game since the changes to master's touch enchanted the weapon.

I'd imagine shield other would simply cancel out previously cast others instead of that extremely complex (but fun) madness. But still an amazing spell that would be fun to play around with.
