    Default Keyboard Shortcuts

The other day I used /advice to discover using <Ctrl><=> toggles the shortcut bars from locked to unlocked, which is very useful.

Might there be a shortcut to toggle tooltip descriptions? Currently I am opening up the menu, selecting and deselecting tooltips when I want them to display or disappear. It would be nice to have a shortcut for this as well.

Are there any other helpful keyboard shortcuts? Is there a complete list/guide somewhere?

I have used <Alt><Enter> to toggle full screen / window mode (when an occasional program interrupts my session). This may be a generic Windows shortcut but I am not sure.

Other shortcuts / tricks I have found useful are:

<Ctrl><right mouse button click> copies item’s description into the general chat window.
<Shift><arrow> or use <mouse click & hold> to highlight text (<Home> and <End> can be used to navigate in text windows as well as <Shift><End> and <Shift><Home> to highlight text)
<Ctrl><x> or <Ctrl><c> cuts or copies text (once it has been highlighted)
    <Ctrl><v> pastes text

I often use the shortcuts above when selling items at the auction house (searching for the items description to gain knowledge on how much I should post an item for). These are the same generic Windows OS shortcuts.

Of course there are a lot of keyboard mapping and shortcut bar tricks/shortcuts. <Ctrl><#> selects the shortcut bar (can also use mouse wheel to scroll through bar) and 1-0 along the top line can select / use items which have been planted in the shortcut bars. Etc.

    Thanks,
    Warhauk

    Fortune’s Child

    other characters (all on Argonnessen):

    There's lots of shortcuts...

"Ctrl + Z" will hide the User Interface

"Ctrl + P" will take a screen shot

"X" while in a dungeon will bring up the XP summary

"U" will use a lever or item, including breakables. (I use it to break boxes and quickly loot the items dropped.)

"backspace" will select a nearby item. Use this if there's a bag or loot on the ground that you can't click on.

    "R" toggles auto-run

"Z" inspects an item or player

    "M" opens the map

    "T" toggles mouse look on/off

    "G" toggles auto-targeting on/off

.... I'm sure there's more. If you want, you can always look up your key-mapping in the game to see all the shortcuts.

I advise people to use Alt + F4 quite often...

Thanks. I actually am aware of most of the ones which show mapped. I guess I need to spend more time in options since I did not see <ctrl><=> toggling shortcut bars...

I am looking for a source which shows a complete list. If this is in the games options menu then I will have to spend more time in there.

BTW. Thanks for the Alt + F4 combo, I remember this triggering an uber weapon in Mechwarriors. Probably allows ultimate destruction in DDO.

If you have an open browser page, you can use Alt-Tab to get to it and look something up. (As I just did to get here) This is Windows. I don't know the MAC or Linux equivalents. And sometimes this doesn't work with different computers.

    It's actually Alt+Z

Anyways OP, go to options ->key mapping, there you have all the shortcuts. Also you can define new shortcuts, not only for those actions but for any action you want to make. Right now I got 5 quickbars with direct shortcuts that I can use for my caracters, which makes me a lot faster taking any action
