    Default Non-Enchantment Will Saves

    Hi,

I'm just wondering if ya'll can think of any spells that might be cast AGAINST my character that involve a will save, which aren't Enchantment spells.

I searched DDOWiki but they only had spell school subcategories, not save type subcategories.

Im asking as Im designing a build for TRing, and its an elf, giving racial +2 vs enchantment and immunity to sleep, as well as optional + to enchantment resistance through enhancements.

Alternatively, maybe someone is familiar with, or can link, the sorts of save DC's I would encounter in high lvls and epic content.

Curse is a good call though.

It may sound absurd, but you can get banished in this game. The highest level non-epic Raid takes place on the plane of Shavarath, and the end boss can banish you. But, normally, we use Boots of Anchoring (immunity to banishment and Haste), or Spell Absorption items to avoid banishment, rather than rely on a Will save (anyone can roll a 1!)

    More non-Enchantment Will saves:

    Glitterdust (Conjuration) against blindness
    Cause Fear/Scare
    Electric Loop's daze
    Hypnotic Pattern (Illusion)
    Slow
Phantasmal Killer (Illusion), Will to disbelieve, then Fort to survive
Prismatic Ray/Spray (Conjuration), but I don't think I've ever seen an enemy cast these
Trap the Soul, but no enemy casts
    Mordenkainen's Disjunction

    Doom
    Inflict Wounds/Harm
    Deific Vengeance
    Chaos Hammer/Order's Wrath/Holy Smite/Unholy Blight

But honestly, noone really cares much about Will saves at endgame. You'll generally be buffed with immunity to just about everything Will can save against that enemy casters use.

Awesome thanks for the responses. I had read about the Shavarath thing with the boots but must have skimmed the part about it being a banishment spell (I dont have the pack).

The reason I ask is Im trying to decide whether or not to keep force of personality on my TR build plan. Im trying to maintain my high survivability (paladin). I have a high will save as is, but before choosing a different non-necessary feat for my build I'd like to make sure I'll be in the clear.

FoP is useful at lower lvls, so you could consider taking it, then swapping out for something else past lvl 14 or so... That is, unless your more of a solo-build. If you don't plan on relying on others for basic buffs, then FoP suddenly gains a huge measure of value. Even from a "tanks" perspective, I haven't run into any situations, where a failed will save caused any problems, and I've got reasonably low will saves on my non-elf melee characters.
-Thelanis toons- Alektronic (wolf), Bakeneko (monk), Ghyldra (druid), Hermeros (crafter), Lecker (wf wiz),
Panaceus (elemental barb), Quallus (SDK), Taigong (acrobat), Vamprix (warlock), Vercigetorix (bard)

^^ Good call, but as a paladin I'm immune anyways

Perhaps swapping is a good idea.

Especially once I start getting some of my nicer gear back on.

I dont solo often, but I feel like its a good idea to build your character as self sufficient as possible as you can only really control your own abilities.

FoP is great for leveling but at end game you dont need it, I used to have it on my paladin but got rid of it eventually. As stated you are immune to fear effects, deathward prevents PK and inflict wounds/harm, protection from evil against greater command and fom vs everything else pretty much.
