What I find interesting is that Loreseekers has a remarkably constant rate of increase across the couple of months that these data have been posted. Slow but steady.

I am wondering if that has much to do with our size.

It is my understanding that the Guild Renown Decay is a function the total number of active accounts in the guild as opposed to the number of "members" (on MyDDO Guild Leaderboards) which I take as number of characters/toons in the guild.

We have 184 active (or relatively so) members (actual people playing) and according to the MyDDO Guild Leaderboard we have 837 "members" or toons in the guild. Granted about 60 of those are just myself and one other officer, Flint, so I'm hoping I'm looking at these numbers right. That's just over 4.5 toons per account in the guild, not counting toons in other guilds, and none of that is counted as concerns renown, yes? Just the number of Player-Accounts, right?

The reason I'm asking, is that we are considering various and sundry means to increase our accumulation of renown without downsizing one bit in order to, hopefully, get to level 85 sooner rather than later. This means contests, guild events, mostly some sort of incentive for renown gathering, because at the moment Decay hits us very hard, but it is because we get such a hard hit that I am impressed, really, with the steady rise shown by these data.

Any advice or comments are welcome. If you want to just talk to me, instead of clumping up this thread, feel free to PM me here, or hit me up on our GuildPortal site.

Yes, it goes by the modified accounts when you cursor over the guild level on the guild tab.

    Decay = 184 + 10 static accounts at 626.344250 per day = 121,511 per day
    Decay per account = 660/Day

So 1 impressive/1 tales per day

For high levels, this is a shroud a day. If you really want to see a burst, organize a guild wide Epic VoN3/Partycrashers duo run.

Low Levels (1-5) - Mostly Heroics, Some Tales, Occasional Impressive, No legendaries

This is painful. The major blocker is that for some reason there is a drastic downpush on renown generation if you are more than 1 level above the quest. Basically 1 level above quest = near 100%, 2 levels above the quest = 20% or less. It doesn't hurt TRs, but it kills anyone who takes advantage of their veteran status. A veteran character who wanders back to the harbor is going to do all of those quests for very little renown.

Suggested quests - KNR, WW, Depths (which is normally worth 650 renown by itself in 10 minutes)

Doldrums - (6-10) - Common Heroics, Common Tales, Occasional Impressive, No Legendaries

Nothing special here outside of Tear of Dhakaan with its 80 chests.

Mid Levels - (11-15) - Occasional Heroics, Common Tales, Common Impressive, Occasional Legendary

Renown isn't too bad at these levels with lots of chests, quick quests, and good end rewards

High Levels (16-20) - Occasional Heroics, Common Tales, Common Impressive, Occasional Legendary

    Dear Hordo,

I think I know one thing that might be keeping you from maximizing your renown. If you are not dead, then you can loot the chest and actually get renown.

    Ink,

Thanks for the advice. Now, like the leper said to the lady-of-the-evening, keep the tip.

    Your pal's soulstone,
