I am wondering if that has much to do with our size.
It is my understanding that the Guild Renown Decay is a function the total number of active accounts in the guild as opposed to the number of "members" (on MyDDO Guild Leaderboards) which I take as number of characters/toons in the guild.
We have 184 active (or relatively so) members (actual people playing) and according to the MyDDO Guild Leaderboard we have 837 "members" or toons in the guild. Granted about 60 of those are just myself and one other officer, Flint, so I'm hoping I'm looking at these numbers right. That's just over 4.5 toons per account in the guild, not counting toons in other guilds, and none of that is counted as concerns renown, yes? Just the number of Player-Accounts, right?
The reason I'm asking, is that we are considering various and sundry means to increase our accumulation of renown without downsizing one bit in order to, hopefully, get to level 85 sooner rather than later. This means contests, guild events, mostly some sort of incentive for renown gathering, because at the moment Decay hits us very hard, but it is because we get such a hard hit that I am impressed, really, with the steady rise shown by these data.
Any advice or comments are welcome. If you want to just talk to me, instead of clumping up this thread, feel free to PM me here, or hit me up on our GuildPortal site.
