    Default Just a simple question.

Why is it that some people send tells when declined from a party?

After all it is a big game with a lot of people and doesn't mean everybody has to be friends.

I had 1 guy on my squelch list so he got auto-declined he then swapped toons abusing me for not accepting. To make things worse he kept changing toons for almost 2 hours sending me tells saying that I am a sociopath and have mental problems, yet he still couldn't see why I had him on squelch. Now thankfully all his toons are my squelch list thanks to that effort.

There was also another time I declined someone so they sent tells to my guildie's harrassong them over it. Why do things like this? What is the point really?

Decline means go away it doesn't mean send me tells!

Consider yourself lucky that he signed in with all his alts so now you have additional toon names of his to squelch :-)

well if there's a decline i might just ask why, out of curiosity maybe
and if they decline my rogue i might check if they want my other toons

but really logging on toons just to tell others they are nuts... i'd better save the time to do other pugs...

This is khyber. Just hope he doesnt start deleting chars and making new ones spam more profanity at ya.

Sometimes i send tells to ask whether or not they have use of my other chars.

and other times i ask them if they really dont think that a monk isnt a dps...

And hey, usally its them telling their guildies that they got declined and me getting jumped by emXD

Only squelching fails when someone is acting like this towards you.....you should definitely be reporting them too.....if this person kept harrassing you with new toons just to get at you the account would eventually be banned.

There's a lot of people playing ddo, you gotta be really lucky to never meet one of the nutters.

Squelch and move on, maybe report them if it gets annoying.

I have no problem if people decline me right away, they can accept or decline whoever they want when forming their party, and it's so much better than leaving me hanging in the waiting queue.

As a level 20 Clerk, I have the opposite problem. Everytime I sign on, I get no less than 3 "ToD run?" tells from people I don't know. Once a week, one of them gets nasty about it, even if my answer now can be "on timer", which is marginally better than my old "not flagged" problem.
