That +2 loot is really sexy. Tor yesterday, Jorgundal first chest, Belt of Seven Ideals second chest, black scale third. +2 tome from elite pop reward. Spell Storing Ring and Blood Stone today.

I'm curious if the +2 really gives that much of a boost to loot rates? Anyone else getting good stuff since the bonuses started? I'm thinking I should buy a bunch of jewel of fortune when this is over

loot bonuses dont increase the drop rate of named loot, only randomly generated loot.

Well I didn't really think so either, but it really shouldn't be possible just getting one without a bonus from an end reward level that low.

And as for saying it was the only thing NOT affected, the named items are not affected.

The game checks if you have more than one character. If you don't, then it calculates a number based on the quality of the gear you are wearing and the number of TR's you have.

If you get a low number, then your chance of getting Rare loot is increased by +1000%. I call this the "Keep Playing Boost" so it makes newbies happy and willing to play for a longer time.

You don't believe it? When my pally was 12 2 years ago, I dropped a RSS, a Spectral Gloves, and a Firestorm Greaves almost on 1-shot - only the ring was dropped 1 day b4.
