Default A Monk's Wish List for Update 9, Patch 2

    In order of priority:

    1. Fix the + to hit and damage for all handwraps. Doing between 1 and 5 points of damage less every hit is really starting to get old.

    2. Fix monsters that get stunned or affected by other crowd-control. A stunned/tripped/dazed/etc. monster SHOULD NOT be sliding around.

I know everything sounds better in threes, but if Turbine manages to fix either of the things mentioned above within the next month, I'll be flabbergasted. I figure I'll keep the requests to a minimum.

Anything else bothering people who like playing monks?

let stunning fist, and stunning blow still provide auto crits.
but not hold monster. i understand that one was gamebreaking.

but i mean, my thundering wraps of stunning +10 with force crit are worthless now.

    1) I know swapping out gloves w/spec gloves will give back +to hit. Its still lame. Heard goggles if insight work too

    2) Dont think its high on list of priorities I care about

    3) *pulls out enlightened vestments

I understand the elimination of auto-crits, and I don't expect to see that changed anytime soon. However, the resulting reduction in ki generation is a problem.

I'd like to see ki generation get a boost to make up for the loss of auto-crits.

It's always a shame when the hammer of poor design choices smashes the fun of player tactical adaptation.

    3. Make successful attacks on "helpless" mobs generate additional ki the way critical hits on such foes used to.

Problem solved. I also would really appreciate if stunned monsters stopped moving around.

How so? vestments arn't supposed to add the damage dice that banising weapons have

    As per Release notes

Disruption, Banishing, and Smiting weapons have had their hit die caps and saving throws removed. These weapons now do 4d6 damage on a hit, and kill an eligible target on a confirmed vorpal hit (natural 20) if the target is below 1,000 hit points. If the target has more than 1,000 hit points, they will take 100 damage.
    • Weapons with the Greater Disruption effect deal 6d6 additional damage on any hit instead.
    • Greater Disruption Guard will apply its death effect with no saving throw at its previous percentage chance, but will not deal additional damage.
    • Banishing Fists will grant the vorpal banishing effect to unarmed attacks, but will not do an additional 4d6 damage.

You shouldn't be forced to choose sun stance in order to generate acceptable amounts of ki.

100 damage on a natural 20 averages to 5 damage per hit.

    Enlightened Vestments are shiny.

#3 on my list would be to make it so silver-threaded wraps are properly displayed as such in the name of handwraps. This would simultaneously make it obvious when you get them as an end-reward and allow it to be a searchable trait in the AH.

And the enlightened vestments kick ass in eChrono, big time.

Sure it should. You either pick:

    a.) Faster attack speed.
    b.) Faster Ki generation.
c.) Higher DC on you skills.
    d.) Better Defense

It really evens the stances out. Before this, Wind Stance was the ultimate stance.

Also, auto-crit seems quite over-powered for Ki generation. Stunning is still amazing at 50%.

Wraps should be fixed soon, hopefully.

Also I would like more Silver Handwraps to drop, of course, since the powerfulness of them, probably won't happen.
