I have never served (bad knees), but wanted to simply thank you, and your brothers, for your service.
I sincerely appreciate all of your, and your families', sacrifices to keep us all safe.

The problem with being punctual is that no one is there to appreciate it...
This is a political thread and has no place on a fantasy video game forum.
Thank you Battle for everything you've done for us. As you know I've never served, but am forever grateful to the US military and friends from all peaceful nations that I have my freedoms.
I enjoy thanking you all and I always will.

Thanks Battle and all those past, present, and future that sacrifice to serve. Also, props to LW_GG, who has, over the years, been a consistent voice for the recognition of servicemen and women in the game and on the forums.

I see I've got given neg rep for merely saying that the ddo forums are not the place to discuss the actions of american servicemen. I said nothing about those actions and I gave no opinion on the matter. I simply said that a fantasy video game forum is not the place to mention them.
Giving me neg rep will, eventually, lead to me being placed in a moderated status which would prevent me from making future posts on these forums. The giving of neg rep to prevent me speaking in future is a very totalitarian thing to do and these actions seem to go against your words about "freedom".
Still, I guess what you mean is your freedom to do what you want, not freedom of other people to disagree with you.
I am glad you have made it clear what kind of freedom you stand for.
Nobody said you had to post in this thread, we are simply appreciating the
things our servicemen and women put up with. Appreciation for the ideas
and privelages they enable to have us. Nobody can make you agree with anyone's views.
Nobody is asking you to. This is an appreciation thread, not a political debate thread.
I appreciate the servicemen and women for their sacrifices, bravery, and in some cases, humor.
I appreciate the people, not the politics behind it. There is a difference.
Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first. - Mark Twain
I must admit that upon initially reading your posts I was somewhat irate. After a closer look I came to realize that you are likely not a U.S. citizen, and as such are likely not aware that the beginning of summer is a patriotic time for us. The 31st of May signifies an American holiday called Memorial Day where we recognize our fallen servicemen that preserved our freedoms. Now as the op wrote his post, I see nothing political about it whatsoever...he simply is thanking fellow servicemen for their time, sacrifice, and dedication for the American people. If you don't agree with what the op posted, don't reply. Your opinion is not really necessary. You received negative rep because [I]you[I] posted in the discussion. Perhaps a bit of research on your part, before posting your opinion would've prevented that.
To the OP and all of our military personnel, both past and present, you have my utmost thanks.

For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.-Ephesians 6:12

Thank you to all the people that have or are serving in the military especially the ones that have paid the ultimate price so we can have forum boards like these.
For those who say thanking the service men and women from U.S.A isn't appropriate I would ask you do you enjoy the freedom to post on these boards and think poor about others that post thanking these men and women that have paid the ultimate price. I ask you this do you really think that if it wasn't for the military s of America and your nation fighting for our freedoms we really would enjoy games like this.
Once again thank you to all the men and women in the armed forces current and past for protecting our freedom!

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today,

This is in off topic chat not the rest of the forums. Nor is this thread political by any means. Battle is showing respect for our brothers and sisters. If you dont like the thread dont read it. Its pretty simple. You are the one who has turned this political. Thats hypocrisy. I will honor our fallen. I will honor those I have lost aswell. I and any serviceman or woman has earned that right.
