    Default Stormreach Micro Marine

Few things out of the way now:

    1. This is (supposed to be) an optimized flavor build.

    2. This build only uses Heavy Repeating Crossbows after level 2

    3. This build (is supposed to) fill a DPS slot.

Now It took me a while because I've...never done a range based character, so I decided to make one with a modern soldier as his basis.

Any way to keep the flavor and pump more DPS out of him?

Any improvements you would make to make the flavor taste better to others end game?

Any swapping around of leveling order/feats/etc?

    Any other advice/suggestions/improvements?

*EDIT* Changed the build, thanks to the guys who gave me good advice.

Oh, I took rogue 8 for the improved uncanny dodge boost instead of 8 fighter, should I change that and get shot on the run?

I'm not sure I see where the Navy Seal part comes in (at a glance it doesn't feel very Navy Seal)... But looking at the build, I'm not sure I would play it. For fun or otherwise..

2 and 3 are contradictions. Sorry, but ranged does not equate to large number DPS in this game.

Also, you should fit in deepwood sniper.

Based on a modern soldier with STR as a dump stat?
You can't swim all that far with skinny arms, nor can you throw a grenade far enough to not kill yourself.

I'd guess more along the lines of 20 rogue levels(maybe a fighter splash) with a penchant for blowing things up to be more soldier-esque,but that's just me I guess.

As far as the build, you really don't need toughness three times.
You've got 2 extra feats with just the one toughness so it might be worth it to you to have some sort of melee option.
Maybe get a UMD skill focus just to get a little closer to heal scrolls and such.
I've had a lot of fun with Sap and get use out of it personally...might be worth taking, just to keep things off of you.

8 rogue doesn't get you much,7 gets you an extra sneak attack dice so that might be a good stopping point.
7 fighter is combat tactics enhancements and another toughness enhancement if I remember right, might be worth it to you if you're worried about hit points.

From a Thematic standpoint, I'd go 12 Rogue- Assassin II. After that I would consider Ranger, Fighter, or Wizard for the other levels.

    Main Stats

    Strength
    Constitution
    Intelligence
    Dexterity
    Charisma

    (In order of importance)

Too bad grenades here are dex huh?

so, a rogue with no DD?

no melee, have UMD, an item will put me over 30 easily

8 rogue doesn't get you much,7 gets you an extra sneak attack dice so that might be a good stopping point.
7 fighter is combat tactics enhancements and another toughness enhancement if I remember right, might be worth it to you if you're worried about hit points. I'll actually test this real quick

Otherwise, you guys get -1 for failure to pay attention to detail.

can't assassinate on a ranged attack. even if it were possible, on a heavy repeating crossbow, I'd have to be stealthed. I'll take consistent dps 100% of the time rather than spike dps 10% of the time.

Any reason you aren't going halfling for this build? +8 sneak attack damage would do a lot to pump up your dps. Their save bonuses don't hurt either.

extra feat mainly, I could probably get by with 2 toughnesses for increasing my dps. but my epeen prevents me from being short...

I would have called him the stormreach force recon marine... but I couldn't fit it in the name spot.
