Blitz build is probably THE MOST FUN build out there for a melee... and you got the prime requiste which is barb past life. It's fast, solid DPS, and good survival (UMD/evasion)

*WARNING* - Turbine sometime in the future will probably "nerf" the barb past life effectively neutering the blitz build... they seem to follow the motto "Hey guys! If it's FUN, LETS NERF IT!"

Thus, my suggestion is to become a pure 20 fighter TWF or a pure 20 Barb if going THF.

How would losing the NWAI bonus from PLF Barb neuter the blitz...it would still kick arse. Cracks me up. Some of you are so polorized against the devs...not sure why you enjoy playing this game.

Oh...sorry op...I play a monster type build without any barb and it is fun so try that. You could also do a ranger or an str rogue among the other stuff said by Boro

Monster will have better evasion than the Blizt. And also gets manyshot for occasional fun?

Blizt will have better DPS than the Monster. And also has more HPs and rage fun.

If you do 2 rogue levels in the monster, you get all the UMD fun.

I'd recommend either of those!

I think from what you are saying is that you are going to TR this character from non-barbarian into a barbarian, in which case I recommend THF paladin. It's the most distinct style of the choices you listed from barbarian, and its passive past life is the most useful. If you don't have 32 point builds, paladins can be a little frustrating to build, but you're going to be TRing anyway so you don't need an ideal set-up: KotC, 16 Str, 14 Con, 16 Cha, 2 points wherever, human will be fine. Feats - thf chain, toughness, power attack, improved critical, extend, whatever at level 18.

Kind of glossed over the part where you said dwarf... 16 str, 14 con, 15 cha works, you only lose the "whatever" feat at level 18, and you can put a level-up in charisma instead of strength so you can get DM III with a +2 tome.

I have heard of blitz, I have not heard of monster. Where could I read on these 2

builds?

i would like to chime in that a skillfully played 13 rog/6 barb/1 ftr (or rgr) will out DPS a blittz build as long as its not tanking.
