Racial Reincarnation

I haven't seen a thread on this for a while.

Can we get a Racial Reincarnation? Similar to Lesser Reincarnation, except add the ability to change Race as well? Please?

I haven't done the T.R. thing yet probably never will so I'm probably not going to win allot of points here, but I would think that this reincarnation thing would have been done randomly?????

If you are the type that does actually believe in this , what will you come back as in your life??? Is it not out of your control????

If done randomly it will have the person learning something new and keep things fresh I would think.

You're thinking of the PnP spell 'Reincarnate'. TR is a much more powerful effect. While it would be a hilarious and awesome if reincarnate was introduced as a spell, TR is still going to be different.

I'm with you about TR'ing, though. Too much work, not enough benefit.

I like that you can't change race without a true reincarnate, or gender without rerolling. It makes those decisions more important.

For the reincarnation spell race is random, not class.

I know I do. Especially since alignment change is available in the DDO store. And you can change up to 5 class levels with a lesser heart +5.

What's to prevent all the melee who wander into PvP from going "I hate dying!" and change to Elf and swap up a single level (if their current setup doesn't allow) to become an AA and have Slayer Arrows?

I was thinking something more along the lines of:

Character dies

Druid/Spirit Shaman casts reincarnate

Player comes back to life with various bonuses/penalties to stats along with a visual effect showing the character is no longer the race he appears to be. Both last until rest.

While it would be possible for a halfling to die and come back as a half orc (+4 STR!), the reverse could also be true. Not to mention Wizards with Int penalties and Drow suddenly getting a CON penalty or Half orcs being to able activate INT runes. It would be a tricky, but interesting alternative to Raise Dead.

Choosing your gender is really that important of a decision?

PS If we can change our alignment for a price then I'd be all for changing our race for a price as a separate part of LRing. So 895 TP for a normal LR but if you want to change your alignment or race then it's 1295 or something similar.
