The console version has a tremendous amount of issues....
1) The ability to lose abilities "purchased" and never again will you be able to access them. You can hotkey them but they will not work. Known issue, supposedly a patch in the works.
2) The save function is incredibly wonky. If you save mid-quest (to expand, if you save mid quest, after you've completed a quest but have not picked up a new one) then log out....when you log back in it's likely your loaded save will restore you to the point of picking up the original quest...from the beginnning....if that makes sense...
3) The idiotic "I'd use a different word but it's offensive to some but you'll immediately utter it once you hear it" dwarf voices and for that matter the visual design is appalling.
4) Complete lack of character customization (aside from gear). Sure you get points to buy abilities.....only one ability generally at each level up....
5) The dwarves....again....the most cowardly collection you've ever met outside of gully dwarves......
It's mildly entertaining though I wonder if it is a test run to a fully developed game. I would advise them not to.
Bad but not as bad as the worst DnD/AD&D game ever produced......Descent to Undermountain....![]()
Hilarious Princess....Sorry your life is so medicore after all this time..Lol, you are scared of a farmer? with a tractor....?
LMAO!! While I hate to admit it I had to give Daggerdale a try just for giggles. Despite the NUMEROUS bugs involved with the inital release (and then the ones after the 'patch') I was still trying to ride it out becasue for a simplistic hack and slash rpg it was kinda fun and the graphics were ok (when they were working). That is until the latest post from the Atari Rep...
"There's an easy solution to your problems - if you don't like the game, stop playing it..."
I mean really, from a rep of the company that is trying to sell games? I don't know why I expected anything else, but oh well. Anyway here s the link if you want to read the whole post and the numerous other rantings of 'players' (yes, I use the term lightly because there is not a lot of playing being done on Daggerdale...

Needless to say, I won't be wasting anymore of my time or money on anything this company produces/publishes. Which kind of sux with the new 'Neverwinter' in the works. But any company that responds to complaints of a severely broken game in this fashion doesn't deserve a single dime from me![]()
I believe in mind over matter. If I don't mind, it doesn't matter.
Sarlona! Yep, back again.
i bought this.
i am disappoint.
what i equate it to is more like a castle crashers type of arcade game. its not bad when you consider that fact, but the problem is the potential that was so horribly and gruesomely driven into the ground 6+ feet.
you changed, bro...
"Hikari datte, yami datte, kitto"
Into light, into darkness, surely.
Because it is D&D based I will give it a shot anyway. I will post my thoughts after playing it for a bit.
This is basically a PC game like Baulder's Gate was so to get 10 levels out of it is not unusual. The player reviews seem to be more positive than the critic's reviews which is not uncommon.
How many movies have critic's rated as flops that you enjoyed. It has been many for me.
One thing I read even by the players is that it seems to be bugged a lot though. Hopefully some of these things will be addressed in a patch of some sort.

I thought the game was a good stab at trying to stick 4.0 stuff out into the game (there were easy minions and controllers, etc.).
Good points:
-a little mindless, no real thought needed. a nice hack and slash
-it was nice seeing dragonborn done well in a CRPG
-about what I expected for 15 dollars
-not a bad platform that could be built on for further games
Bad points:
-My character was blue most of the game (the armor skins for many of the armors just turn your character into a smurf)
-I didn't encounter any game-destroying bugs, but there were a lot of little ones (monsters disappearing, etc.)
-the whole game felt a little unfinished. I can't believe that the playtesters didn't find the problems that almost all the purchasers found.
im an avid rpg player.. i also play ddo, i have taken on such titles as Lineage2, baldurs gate, dragonage1 and 2. the entire elder scrolls chronicles, dragon warrior, ff1-7 and tactics on DS .. blah blah blah. daggerdale is a flop in all senses of the word. the game lags all the time.. glitches your armor off and you lose items. the rezlus boss fight ends up with you beating on a dragons forelegs. repetetive and lame.. its all been done b4. its also easily hacked as i had a lvl 200 join up .. all around a lazy effort by atari and the wizards.. sad to see WOTC stamp on this one.. it was everything but a video game.
