ring with medium guild slot now bound to char

Hi,

is it a bug or known issue, that a ring not bound with a medium guild slot deconstructed and after crafted with a ligh fortification shard is bound to char?
Its no longer possible to trade it in the shared bank and even if I decondtruct it again its still bound to char?

What can I do to save this item? I want to craft for another character of mine- I started crafting after patch 9.1 so nothing old involved.

deconstruct it again, crafted items are bound to character, only the craftable item is unbound, make the shard, which is BtA, put it in the bank with the deconstructed ring, other character assembles the final product...which is BtC for them.

Crafted stuff in house K is always bound to character.

Unless you used a base item that was already bound to account.

Next time, create the SHARD on your crafter, then using shared bank space transfer that to the character in question.

Have that character create the blank/craftable item. then apply the shard to the item normally. Bound to the correct character now.

Disjuncting (making it craftable) and item makes it BTC. Permanently. He can't reverse it.

Yea it's dumb how it works, but thats how it works.. Disjunct the item on the character you want to use it on.

Only shards are BTA. Not disjuncted items or anything else involved.

I've only had one item disjunct and stay BtC...I disjuncted (clumsy as a verb...disjoined?) a lot of flametouched iron from the Chronoscope vendor and sold them on the AH....same way I sold a disjoined silver khopesh...not sure if I tried crafting/disjoining/selling or not...is that what you're talking about?

Edit: The posters following me are correct, once changed to BtC it stays BtC...editing for future searching on the same question.

Nope. The craftable silver scimitars in my shared bank say otherwise.
Once you add a shard to it they become bound. Simply disjuncting it does not, unless they changed it for 9.1.

Calebro is correct.

You can start with BtA items, however. If you have a BtA ring, you can craft something nice onto it and it will stay BtA. I have never actually gotten a metal-type weapon, armor or guild slotted item that was BtA, however (probably just because all three of those are rare). That does limit your options somewhat for BtA crafting.

After using the dust of dusjunction, the original poster added Light Fortification to the ring. At that point, the ring is bound to character. Using another dust will not change that.

Dust of Disjunction does not change how an item is bound. If it is BtC before the dust is used, it'll be BtC after. If it becomes BtC because you used a shard on the item, then try using the dust, it will remain BtC.

As it stands, I don't think there is any way to make an item that you added an effect to unbound.

Thanks for your help- I thought so- It should be changed urgently- makes no sense, that after disjunction a item is still bound to somewhat, because therre can only be material or guild slots on the item.

Any Dev here, to give a comment?

Cool. Yea might of been 9.1.. or even 9.0.. I haven't disjuncted anything that wasn't already bound since it was lammania.. and yea everything turned BTC there.. Glad they changed it.

Tho my point about it being unrevesable remains i think.. Less theres someway to unbind stuff now.
