What items can shards be used with?

Is there a thread here that covers what useful shards can be converted into, for example yesterday i created a shard of electrical absorption 33% (level 50 divine i think) similar to the POP ring, and find that it can be used with Trinket, Off Hand Weapon or Shield.

If you have an alt with a spare belt slot say, it would be good to know what you can and cant craft into a belt. The Blood Rage shard i was planning cannot be crafted onto a belt so trial and error or is there a list somewhere?
