    Default Monk Wraps Broken

    Anybody tried equipping +1 wraps then +5 wraps only to see the damage and to-hit not affected? I know this wasn't an intentional nerf, as monks can hardly hit anything anyways.

    Im just glad my monk is still TRing and not missing all the time in epics.

    If your monk really have a hard time hitting you are doing it wrong.

    BAB at 20 +15/+15/+20/+25
    Weapon Focus +1
    Should have(at the low end) a 30 in dex or str so +10 to +19 mod
    and there are several items to raise attach bonus say something like Epic Spectral Gloves for a +4 or Tumbleweed for a +2 or Cannith Crafting to add +1 or +2 competence
    party with a bard +2 to +9 (warchanter + enh line)

    Epic trash mostly has around 48 ac where some bosses have 68ish.

    There is a known issue with monk wraps not applying their enchantment mod. Performing an action that adjusts your attack bonus is the only work around while they work out a fix.

    Example you gave, after swapping to the +5 wraps, unequip/equip an item that grant +to hit bonus (goggles of insight from korthos is easiest, but also spectral gloves or tumbleweed, shimmering arrowhead,et all) or a spell that adjusts your to hit - heroism (gtr version as well), and I guess prayer, aid/bless and probably others.

    right, after you change wraps you have to do something that changes your to hit and damage bonus for the enchantment to affect your numbers. you have to do this every time you change wraps.

    It is most annoying as I change wraps frequently, several times during some melees. I've just taken to forgoing the "fix" and kicking in some Human Versatility if things get too bad. For those poor souls without such enhancements; I feel your pain. Lets us all hope that the issue will be fixed in U10.

    very annoying

    i have yet to see this bug fix listed on the u10 release notes though. so i'm not holding my breath

    The current method I use is to equip the Sora Kell set from the Lordsmarch series to fix my hit and damage. Spectral Gloves and Tumbleweed are very uncommon. The crafting is viable though. I think making +2 to hit goggles is very low level arcane crafting IIRC. The coding for handwraps is so screwed up. I'm not a developer, but I don't see why it can't be closer to how the code for normal weapons works so we don't have all these issues every time something changes with handwraps.

    You totally missed the point of the post. As people pointed out monk wraps are broken, not my monk.

    15-15-20-25 is only for feat pre-requisites. Meleeing, their BAB is 20-20-25-30.
