    Default Eldrich Device Tutorial - Stuck

    I have a guildy who experienced something pretty frustrating last night. He has completed all the flagging quests in the vale, and is ready to start Shrouding. Unfortunately, he can't seem to get past the eldrich device tutorial quest.

    He is 99% sure he accidentally deleted his shavarath dirt (one of those 5 random items you get to try out the eldrich device). He has created the signet stone, and has made sure it is not inside his ingredient bag, but can't complete that pre-quest. We also tried to have him abandon the quest, but it says it is not able to be abandoned. We attempted to submit a ticket on it last night, but the GM who communicated with him simply told him 'sorry, I can't help you create items in your inventory.' and then dropped off communication.

    2 questions that you can help me with.
    1. Is it possible to destroy one of those 5 eldrich device items? If so, how do we get him pass this quest?
    2. Who can we escalate to? It is pretty frustrating as 5 year paying subscribers to not be listened to when submitting an in game ticket.

    It is possible to misplace, lose or destroy those items. However, any player should be able to resolve this problem for this specific quest without GM assistance. I have two suggestions for your friend to try/check:

    1. The item could be in a different ingredient bag.

    2. If a player destroys an item, he or she can talk to the NPC again, and they will provide a new one. This can be done multiple times for multiple
    missing items.
