I've seen the opposite effect.
Before I opened my own restaurant, no place was hiring except Waffle House. Culinary Arts degree, 3 years of school, and I went to work at Waffle House.
(No offense to Waffle House employees, I met some great people there and I ended up having a lot of fun.)
When this event happened it was in 2007 or so. I was on my Rogue, Myriam, and sneaking ahead of the rest of the party to scout ahead in a quest none of us were familiar with, and I spot two minotaurs.
I click on voice chat "Incoming, minotaur on two, out like one!"
