Variable Sized Raid End Rewards List, Intended?

Hello, simply question for the dev types.

Since Update 9 (and continuing in 9.1) sometimes the size of the End Reward List upon completion of raids is smaller than normal. For example, I once had an Abbot End Reward List offering only 3 items and a renown. Ive also seen this occur in Shroud, Reaver, and ToD. The 3 item example is the worst yet, usually its just truncated by a few items (offering 5 instead of 8, or something).

My concern is that this could hypothetically happen on someones 20th, and completely destroy their chances of anything nice. Completing a 20th ToD and only seeing 4 rings on the list and nothing else would be crushing.

If I had to speculate, Id guess it may have something to do with the game trying to put crafting essences on the reward list but being unable to, as I cannot recall ever seeing essences from a raid completion (only from regular quest completions). So instead, it just puts nothing. If this is indeed the case, then 20th reward lists are safe as the item generation would override the essences as long as that portion is working correctly. It also means it would be a relatively simple fix to either put the essences on the tables, or tell the loot generator to stop looking for something that isnt there.

I hope this is unintentional and easily addressed, otherwise repeating raids for 20th rewards, which in many cases is the only reliable way to really have a good chance at some items, will have become much harder. And thats something I dont think the game needs, both for future players trying to progress up to where current folks are now and for older players working on new characters and such.

If desired I can grab some screens and try to post them up (Im not to great with images but if itll help fix the problem I can manage), but I think the above is probably enough to go on. Thanks, cheers.

Getting this occasionally on non-raids too. Seems worse during 'lag o'clock'.

Sins of Attrition offered me only two reward choices (plus a renown token) last night.

Definitely needs to be bug reported. And people should think twice before turning in a 20th raid completion right now.

Seen it since update 9, at all hours I'm on (and I'm asleep during "lag hour"). I routinely get between 1 and 3 items for IQ/DD quests that used to give a guaranteed 4. It happened on several of my Reaver's, DQ, and Titan completions recently. I've had Sins range from 3 items up to 7 items.

My 60th Shroud was done today, and it worked properly. I saw the full list of 6 tomes (4 +2's and 2 +3's) and the cleansing stone.
I will do my 80th Reavers at some point this coming week.

Regular quest rewards (haven't ran any raids) have been doing this for me since Update 9 - before the patch. Stuff that'd normally be 4 items & a renown token was sometimes 3... often 2... and rarely just one. The smallest lists never had a renown token iirc

Edit: Had a one with a renown token as well shortly after making this post.

I've had this too. It seems to happen most often when I'm running quests under-level. (Sands for favor in this case.)

I've had this happen on Reaver multiple times since the update. 3-4 items max.

ive actually noticed this happen quite often. i always figured it was because i was really over level for the rewards (like when doing VoN epics) so the rewards got cut down or something.

While running IQ for XP I noticed the the end reward lists were much shorter than I'm used too.

Well just decided to bite the bullet and see. Did 20th Abbot, and the End Reward List was 7 items plus a renown.

I thought it was supposed to be 8 items, with renown never taking up a reward slot but always being in addition... but I never counted close enough to know if maybe its always been 7. Or, I got shorted from the issue, and got 7-1 items, plus a renown.

Either way, it seems that 20th are correctly giving raid items, but Id like more confirmation to be sure I didnt just get lucky. (or unlucky as it were, no litany, lol).

My Cleric's 20th Abbot had 7 items in the list, no renown. Breeze, Shroud, Circle, Diadem, Purging, Quiver, +3 STR tome. This was completed right before update 9 came out, before this issue showed itself.

Ok great, thanks for the post. Seems 20ths are safe then, verified multiple shrouds in game with others and the post here, and the abbot was okay too.

Still doesnt resolve the other 19/20 runs being shorted, but it looks like no ones going to lose any named loot over it. At least so far, anyways =p

well idk if this is related, but of the 20th runs ive done in the past 2 days(dq, tod, hox, and titan)I had a very short list(7 or less) with renown, not ONE tome in any list. Kinda felt was normal for all but tod, but I remember every other tod ive done 20th runs of, of seeing at least 2 tomes on the list(as well as a **** load of rings)

Just completed my Cleric's 60th DQ:

Chaos Blade, Green Blade, Bramble Casters, Dustless Boots, Demon Scale, Marilith Chain, Pouch of Jerky, Sandstorm Glasses, +2 INT Tome, +2 CHA Tome.

Length of the list seems like what my 40th was. I already had a Green Blade, so took the Marilith Chain for times when I melee when I don't want my normal melee set's radiance guard to go off.

I've noticed this too and I'm really hesitant to do my 20th Titan raid in case I get 5 items on the list and the Seven Fingered Gloves aren't one of them.
