If you're a ranger using a bow as your primary weapon you should be Arcane Archer (100% returning arrows means you NEVER run out).

And no one seems to mind my 20 Ranger when he's using Slaying Arrows with a Lightning Bow and the raid bosses are dropping like flies at a fly-swatter convention.

Now all I need is a Vorpal Longbow and I'm set.

Actually the Green Steel are better their nasty effects proc separately from that of slayin arrow which is on a D20 and the say lightening is a random so your not wasting as much dps. Mind you a lot is still wasted. And the rate of procs is still low considering the rate of fire but its not as bad as with out em. I guess that is unless multi shot is up err when its up.

Yes, that is stupid... Become an Arcane Archer, and get 100% returning arrows.

Get a +5 bow, and you have no need for plain +5 arrows

i agree with this.. i only have the house d 1000 arrow/3types quiver, and i only have to restock about once/level.

What combo has a better 2hit/damage +5 bow w/+5 arrows or +5 bow w/masterwork arrows.
A: They are the same

If you have a good bow the arrow matters not unless to add a damage type like silver or cold iron.

i have this problem with my lowbie mechanic. i go through some 2000 bolts every three quests. i have nothing else to add except it's very annoying haha

the new quiver from the madness/missing pack gives you infinite random arrows. would have been nice if they had something like that for bolts

Lightning Bow is GS....and when both LS and Slayer proc at the same time...1100+ dmg in one shot...really irritates the raid bosses.

If you're an AA Ranger then the + on the bow doesn't matter because you have +5 100% returning arrows which makes the bow a +5 Whatever of Whatever when it hits.
