Default Best melee DPS after LitII ?

I want to craft a khopesh for DPS, but I don't want Lit2 because it is already used so much. What are my alternatives?

I thought LitII was better in epics and MinII best against Boss raids to overcome DR.

Steam, Radiance and triple positive are the alternatives; all are a long way behind Lit 2s.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

I like triple fire especially for lvling tr's in refuge content. Nearly nothing there is immune to fire unlike the devil content, some takes increase dmg (prey/sos giants) and overall its a great wep that only cost 1 supreme shard worth of ingrds.

Similarly triple ice is very effective anywhere ice is increased.. Thats a bit less common, but youll encounter some fire elementals all around, and a little bit of undead and giants weak to ice in red fens epics. And various stuff weak to ice in enter the kobold if your farming that lots for essences/tr xp.

Triple acid is a solid all arounder, with earthgrab being a very useful proc. Probably the best all-around single shard, tho tends not to be the "ultimate" in dps in any cases, and a comparable stunnign weapon may be prefered if you have enough tactics dc's.

Triple pos is very good now, massive dmg to undead.

Various alternative double shard variants are "ok" but generally not worth the double ingrds imo. Cept mayb radiance if your a rogue ofcourse.

Dust 2 for example? I thought of making one of those a while ago but the idea of adding Evil damage type to it does render it weak against most mobs it seems.

I like Triple Positive for a few reasons: 1) Rez clicky can be handy in a pinch, 2) General damage brings the hurt to all "evil" type baddies, rather than just a limited subset like the holy/elemental burst/elemental blast weapons do (also pretty well future proof, barring new content that contains only/mostly neutral enemies), and 3) absolutely obliterates undead. 9d6 bonus damage to undead per hit, variable good burst damage on crits, and either outright kills undead on 20s or does an extra 4d6 good and 100 untyped damage.

EDIT: One more reason i like Triple Positive is that their teir2 version retains a whole lot of usefulness (good blast is marginal DPS increase, but the Improved Disruption is absolutely worth the investment), while still giving the clicky. So if you have a glut of Small and Medium ingredients, but are still hunting down Large (or even if you have some other Greensteel that needs those larges first), you can swing a couple double-positive weapons without feeling like you're wasting your time.

Hmm... and it is a single shard one too which makes it cheaper to build.

generaly ading evil dmg is usless -> around 99,9% of enemies you fight are evil or neutral.

Good enemies (I don't know more):
    - Running with devils (Eladrins)
    - Wrath of Flame (Silver flame paladins etc.)
    - 2 Bosses in Necro IV (undead beholder, and this golem guy).

and still Desintegration is weaker than Lighting strike.
Interesting "evil" weapon is Vaccum -> Trap of soul (nice if you need some esences -> but still esences are rarely usefull -> I am wondering why did Devs not used it in Crafting)...
Interesting dual shard effect is Ozze Guard (make your own pudding)...

Vacuum weapons are powerful because the trap the soul effect ignores death ward and epic ward. It also doesn't have a HP limit like Vorpal. Only rednames and purple names are immune to being insta-killed by the effect.

Unfortunately, you have to come up with a negative tier on it. But that doesn't mean it has to be Unholy/Evil Burst. You could put in something else, since you're not really giving up a damage effect in the first place.
Kobold sentient jewel still hate you.
