Default Made my Min Cloak, now what?

Ok...in the process of taking my Min cloak to level III and I was wondering where to go next.

I know that Goggles are normally taken by Tharnes, so that would leave Boots or Belt.

I am assuming that a GS Kama or...god forbid...a Shruiken is a waste of time and ingredients, but if I am wrong please let me know.

So...fellow monks...which way did you go after the cloak?

A double positive Shuriken has uses. I've used the rez clickie on more than a few occasions to get a healer back up. Good usable randomly looted shurikens are extremely hard to find and the cost of tier 2 is really quite low so that's a good way to go. I really didn't bother with a second GS item on my monk for endgame. I have a min2 hp helm that I use most times and a Blindness/Disease, Regeneration, Deathblock, +6 wisdom cloak that I use while I'm leveling up during my TRing that I find quite useful. My cloak slot gets taken up by Epic Envenomed by the time I hit 20.

You could, actually, make a Kama or Shuriken as a clickie.

Such as, for example, a Tier II Positive item. Relatively cheap (Smalls and Mediums are easy to come by), and would be a Raise Dead clickie - not bad if you're often the last toon left alive.

I *have* heard of some monks making Concordant Opposition Items of some type - it had Wisdom +6 Built in, which is nice, and Blindness Immunity. Not sure I'd suggest it, but it is one thought.

Smoke II isn't a bad fit - Permablur is nice.

Re:Tharne's Goggles : They aren't the only thing to give you a SA bonus. If you can find a better use for your goggles Slot, the Tier III Epic Brawling Gloves are a decent fit on a Monk.

Conc opp is an interesting one for monks - though a chunk of its capabilities are technically "wasted" since you dont have SP, temp HP procs are always nice & if you ever TR into something with an SP pool you'll have arguably one of the most beneficial GS items you can get ready and waiting

Smoke2 is a great one - i havent finished it on my monk yet but even at tier2 its still a 2xdisplacement clicky with a couple of extra effects that can come in very handy.

I'd also suggest (more for accessory than weapon, so you'd have to wait until you can cleanse the min2) a triple air item since the haste/trip guard can be nice & a 3xhaste clicky with better than 35sec duration on them is useful when soloing
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

I'm not a big tharne's user. I usually put my HP item there or grab a LSII, earthgrab, or iceguard item and slap it there or on my cloak.

I made a triple water shuriken on my monk, just for the hilarity. Crushing wave ftw.

    Agreed.

IMO, tharne's is the only goggle that's comparable to a GS goggle. On the other hand, there are several decent cloaks and many boots, bracers, gloves, helms, etc. etc. that are all worth using over a GS item. And to be honest, if you've got Tharne's on for the sneak attack damage because you're not tanking/getting hit/whatever, then you probably don't need +45 hp. +8 damage per swing + perma TS > occasional chance for earthgrab on one target.
