    Orien again.

    Sunday night raids; RI

    19:00 est-19:30 est
Chronoscope epic quick trash run for some scroll farming, most of the raid suffered screen stuttering and lag spikes inclueding showing off there now honed trinity style matrix jumps. 4 second lag on heals landing.

    19:45 est- 20:30 est
Chronoscope Epic completion run, while killing trash afew lag spikes here and there but after bloodplate went down the lag seemed to fix itself.

    20:30 est - 21;00 est
Von epic was ok, standardish lag when dragon used breath weapon.

    21:10 est - 21:40 est
Adq epic, unlike normal sunday nights this actually went kind of smooth.

    22:00 est - 22:30 est
Shroud elite. This was a disaster, whole raid froze 3-4 times on phase 1, was like watching a slideshow, 2 people died to trash on clear, could hear voice chat but whole screen was frozen for about 30 seconds for most of the raid, happened 2-3 more times after that but not for as long a period. Phase 2 trash clear started abit laggy but then fixed itself, stage 3 was as normal, stage 4 again small lag spikes on harry fight, stage 5 lag spikes again on harry fight with abilities failing to activate such as haste and damage boosts ect from hotbars.

    Summary:

Imo this server lag seems far more severe on sunday nights than any other night of the week or at least it does from my guilds perspective on Orien. Maybe some others from Orien can confirm or deny.

Yes, I would agree that the lag is horrible around those same times on Sundays. To the point now I am having ot cancel my scheduled ToD riads for Sunday. I just can't see dealing with the lag and putting me and my guild mates threw the pain.

Real messy last night in the Sub on Orien, around 10PM EST

Full party, 1 caster. VoD Elite Fail due to very very bad lag. Powered though very very bad lag on normal. Almost caused a TPK in the sub due to very very bad lag, then suffered though a hard HoX with very very bad lag.

See a trend? very very bad lag. Any update from a dev would be nice

Orien. ToD on Normal last night around 9 EST. Had a wiz and a Sorc. Lag in the first part running to the jailer was very very bad lag. I tried to tank, and myself along with everyone else was rubberbanding due to very very bad lag. After the shrine we had very very bad lag. Cleared up for me for the optional, but others were still having very very bad lag.

Summary. ToD very very bad lag

Thanks to the three FvSs. They did a fantastic job keeping me on my feet. Although, I was a bit worried at 3.8% of my HP (30 HP), but I was back at full a moment later!

    Again, update would be great

    Default post hot fix lag

    Server: Orien
    Time: 0300 UTC

    Quest: Hard Shroud
Description: Previously ran an elite shroud 2 hours prior to this saw minimal lag with heals and dps but notable. This run had random cycling FPS with no latency noticed in connection. Portals went down ok and noticed about normal dps stoppage there. Was nothing out of the ordinary that we have been seeing not say it is right but was and end all thankfully. Had some severe lag on part 2 when party went to meet up in South West corner. No heals were seen going out or any cc spells from our 2 casters. Blade barriers took about 15 secs to appear and some how we survived. Boss fight went ok until end when waiting for crystal to break. I could see the ghosts of our foes moving then they jumped like 12 ft and kept going. Of course Loot lag was the normal, enjoying some great matrix jumps to get to the chests. Part 4 took 3 rounds due to low dps on our part but it was fun. Not too much there that I noticed as a healer. Part 5 was horrible once Harry came down. We had a party memeber dc and as soon as that happened it appearred like harry just amped it all up on everyone else and took us to 3 party members left. We recovered some how and completed (thanks to the healers left alive to help me get the others raised while I kept the divine spells on him and his aggro on me).

I am still noticing some interesting fluctuations on the airships just standing still. Played with graphic settings of course and checked ping rates. All those are within limits and do not seem to be the cause. Also everyone in the raids were reporting seeing the same issues. Some people sooner than others of course. Still not sure what is going on or how to help you troubleshoot this any better. Never did hear back if there is anymore information you would like from us. I can try to do a ping test while the lag happens and atach screen shots but beyond that I can not think of anything else.

So, good luck and hope we are helping in some way to get this figured out.

    Undermine on Elite
    2 player party with hirelings.

End fight with kaboom 4 minutes of taking damage without any attack rolls. Animations from monesters still clear; however, no player manuavability. Could not even get the half hearted jump attempt that can normally be done during lagging (jump motion, but no vertical).

What I'd like, for now, are the world you play on, the quest, the party size and composition, the time of day (with timezone, or converted to either GMT or EDT), details about what was happening when the lag hit (for example, "all the casters had just called up ice storms", or "we got up from the shrine and couldn't move"), and any other info that seems relevant. If you were chatting with other players in-game and they did or didn't see lag at the same time, that could also be useful.

Please don't post "I'm seeing horrible lag! Fix it!" or the like. As satisfying as it might be to rant and vent, it won't help us track down the problem.

    Thanks!
On Khyber at roughly 10 PM EDT ran an Epic Dragon since the Hot Fix and encountered two spots of bad lag.

In the first instance when the party was running the "bases" when Velah decided to throw her first fireball at the bridge, there was a lag spike; everyone in the party saw/felt this lag spike. There were no ill effects in this spike because of the parties position on the bridge, the bard who was facinating had not yet reached the the "base" and we all rubber banded back about one to two seconds worth of movement.

In second instance while fighting Velah, when she decided to breathe fire on the party about half the party felt a lag spike, I as the cleric was burned down to my boot tops along with a couple of other party members who rubberbanded back to the spot at which we were when she decided (smoke rises) to breathe fire.

I have noticed a decrease in DPS Lag in the Shroud, but have not run the Subterrane Raids to see if Lag still exists there.

I guess what I am experiencing is lag but all I know is that DDO has run very poorly for me since the hotfix.

Both at home and work here is what I am experiencing on Kyber:

    1. Long load times after selecting a character and clicking to enter the world. They vary but its from 5-10 minutes. Before the hotfix I was in in a minute or two.

    2. Moving through the world I am constantly 'hitching'. Running or just turning in place, every few seconds my character/mobs/anything moving does a little stutter.

    3. Crafting interface is slower. Recipes take longer to come up in general but once they are things move at about the same pace as always.

Times this has happened: 6:30-7 am Mountain, 12-1pm Mountain, 6-7pm Mountain

I have had the problem whether in a group or solo, with a hireling (Jatrina, Isadora) or not.

    Server is Cannith

    1. While Running I stutter, constantly.

    2. While crafting my ingredient bags appear to be getting "stuck" where I try to pull something out, and it won't pull them out for 20-30 seconds. I'm also able to pull stuff out, and it won't update the bag sometimes.

    3. Finding recipes is REALLY REALLY REALLY slow now.

    4. 3 nights ago we had a Vision of Destruction where there was lag spikes of 5+ seconds that almost killed off the tank.

    Post 06/15 hotfix.

    Server: Cannith
    Quest: Epic VoN 6
Group: 1 wizard, 1 bard, 2 Fvs and 8 misc dps
    Time: 09:50 PM - 06-15-2011

We did VoN 5 with no lag, when we get in VoN 6 everyone started to lag. My network status was showing the usual numbers (latency 180ms, loss 0%) but I (and everyone) was lagging really bad. We decided to wait a bit before to start, 5 minutes later the lag still, so we started. It was very... hun... funny to prepare the djins since we never know what his actual HP. We had some casualties trying to avoid the breath but we finished successfully. The lag suddenly ceased after leave the raid.

I play on Argo. By far the worst are epic Chrono and Shroud, but also epic von 6 to a lesser extent. Symptoms are rubberbanding, whole-party-pausing, spells not landing (or landing but up to 3 seconds later), abilities on timer but not going off, stuttering.

Also, encountered this one for the first time two nights ago - in the epic von3 fight in the room after the jet, our ice savant scattered a bunch of ice storms around the room. This seem to have the effect of lagging us all out (I had fom-boots on, so it can't have been that). By the time we stopped teleporting around the room, half the team were dead.

    Orien

    Epic crono

Mostly guild and friends (full party)

Part one pretty smooth heals landing like normal no noticable lag.

Part two rubberbanding and heals taking a bit to land 1-3 seconds, everyone noticed the lag.

Part three rubberbanding and heals taking 3-5 seconds to land, caster was 5+ seconds for dancing ball/CC.(completly unplayable, casters comment was I will never be going back to that raid again) everyone had the same lag

    4-5 pm Est 6/16/11

So I would say that the monk wrap issue was not the sole cause of the lag.

    orien 8pm est
tod had occasional lag. wasnt constant and so not very annoying.

    orien 9pm est

shroud had epic lag. and no it wasnt only during combat/heavy spell effects or chest lag. it was sporadic hitching.
not client side or graphics lag. everyone was experiencing it.

hitfix for the hw exploit did nothing, or made things worse. ;/

Khyber - roughly 2-3:30 AM GMT, a normal ToD run followed by an epic Claw run. Horrible lag, stuttering, rubberbanding, people using shrines, getting the progress bar used up but no SP/HP back.

Also noticed the shrine issue in a few earlier runs today.

    Orien: 11:00am
Everywhere (Tempest Spine, Market Place, Black Anvil Cave)

Massive rubber banding, stuttering, long delays to enter and exit areas. The hot fix appeared to make it worse.

    Not happy turbine.

very very bad lag on the guild ship. Never seen this before.

very very bad lag in the market place. Instance 2. Did not see more then normal people in there, but I had a very hard time running from the harbor entrance to the airship door.

    Default aurums lair (spelling?)

In GH with 4 in the party, no issues untill we get into Aurums lair ( the quest by the shrine above the stone heads). Everything is going fine until an electrical trap triggers. Horrible lag and I mean Horrible, it felt like i was on dial up. stop-go rubberbanding and then unable to move, could still talk but that is it. i minimized to make sure nothing was going on in the background and nothing. Ended up dying as did a couple others but one toon was still functioning and grabbed our stones and brought us to the shrine. Lag continues and eventually we complete. Exit the quest and no lag. It was 2300 est

Opening up the crafting device can cause my incoming Bps to spike to 30k for a second or 2....
Cant you stop having the device send so much data? for gods sake, isnt this data that could be given to the clients?

turn off this abomination called crafting or change the way crafting devices send data. Its like opening the AH and having the game send you all the data for every auction, instead of waiting for you to select a catagory or do a search.

    Server: Argonessen
    Quest: Reclamation/Sykro's Jewel
Party Composition: Me (lvl 10 Sorcerer), Crazyfeathers (lvl 10 Rogue), 2 hires
    Time: now (6:55pm Ohio time)

No lag or reasonably small amount of lag in Ataraxia's Haven. The lag in both quests was appalling. I lost connection to the server and had to log back in 6 times in Reclamation, and then 3 times on Sykro's Jewel. We only made it about 5 minutes in before death due to lag happened and we called it quits.

EDIT: Here's some more debug information:

Hardware: Macbook, 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 Gigs RAM, running Windows 7 off a partition.
GFX Settings: Very High, 1280x800 fullscreen

My sorcerer is Diaari, and she's an Earth Savant. The guildie who was running with me is a Repeater Mechanic. His lag was causing bad rubberbanding and all the usual issues, but he was never kicked off the server.

My hireling was Samuel Merrick; Crazyfeather's was Fayden Maeleth. Both of us noted difficulty getting the hirelings to follow, as if the hires were experiencing their own form of lag separate from us.

My spell list is as follows:

lvl 1: Acid Spray, Jump, Expeditious Retreat, Niac's Cold Ray
lvl 2: Melf's Acid Arrow, Web, Blur, Knock
lvl 3: Acid Blast, Frost Lance, Haste,
lvl 4: Acid Rain, Burning Blood
    lvl 5: Cone of Cold

I was mainly casting Acid Rain, Frost Lance, Melf's, and my SLA, tossing out other spells only rarely. I've noticed consistent lag with Acid Rain before, although this was an usual case because it normally doesn't lag me as long as I stay out of the cloud. The only consistency I could find this time is that I typically lagged out when I had a group of 6 or more mobs in web with an Acid Rain over them (3 times or so), but just as often I would lag out simply backtracking to find the stuff we missed. Regardless, Acid Rain has been the only spell I've noticed affecting my server connection, so I hope that helps.

EDIT 2: My internet connection stayed at 5 full bars the whole time this happened, and I was even able to web browse in the background. I also sit 1 foot away from my router, so my signal strength should be fine.
