Grey and Coit 2 man VOD

Well, we finally did it.

Those that have run with Grey and myself over the last few months have probably heard us talk a bit about attempting solo and duo raids. With the amount of TR-ing we both do, it seemed like the logical thing to aim for, otherwise, why all those past lives.

And everytime we got to joking about it, VOD was the one that always came up as the raid we'd love to crush.

We finally stopped yapping about it and just did it.

It took a few runs at it to finalise a strategy that would work, different parts of the raid presented different challenges, but each run at her trying different things yielded something that would work for each problem that came up.

We know this has been done a lot solo and duo, but, we wanted to do it with guys that may not have been all that well suited to the job (Grey was on a 34pointer with 1 past life of ranger - no raid loot, Grey don't raid, and the FVS i took in was built to fool around with angel of vengeance when i heard the pre was coming in, he has 2 previous lives of ranger xD.)

Elves, and elven rangers especially are squishy, right? xD.

Dwarves are out of fashion as FVS and clerics eh?

So we pitched our dwarven fvs and elven ranger at it, and got her done, but enough carrying on, here come the screenies.
And for those that know GRey well, yes, he ended up naked with a izzy cookie and a candy cane!

Then it was time to loot, and great to see that Grey brought his loot luck with him, even in raid achievments!

Not bad at all really, getting our moves down right for each part (that last 10% devil/orthon/chained stage took some working out) was the hardest really.

My pot useage was well under what i've heard about being used in for example, e-chrono runs and such, I even remember some TOD runs i've had the misfortune to be in where the healer has chugged more then i ended up going through, though, i'm a bit of a scrooge xD.

Pure FVS free heals, and high concentration for scrolls really helps out there too, as does having con opp and torc with the leviks working doubletime on it's proc and DR. (it was somewhere between 30-40 pots in total for those that really want to gauge the performance, none storebought, all collected during this set of lives levelling up)

It's not something i'd want to do all the time, but it was really about just having a good go ourselves and pulling it off (a recording of me on the mic during the last 5 percent would make for some real hilarity, i got a little excited xD)
