    Default Defender of Siberys

    Hi,

Im wondering if anyone can give me an accurate number value (%?) for the amount that 'positive energy heals you for more' with the DoS PrE.

Best would be the number for first, second and third tier and how you know its accurate.

    Thanks.

Ah, that's not the Paladin Defender PrE, it's the Hunter of the Dead one

Afraid I don't have the specific numbers/how it stacks though, you might try the Solar Phoenix thread for a breakdown on healing amp:

10% per tier for HotD, additively; not multiplicative.

    Meaning that HoTD 3 is 100% x 30% healing amp, not 100% x 10% x 10% x 10%.
Let like stacking bonuses scale down tiers; i.e. wearing a +2 dodge/excep. item and a +2 dodge/excep. item currently is only +2; let the 2nd +2 item imitate a +1 item, giving you +3. Allow this for all stacking bonuses (Heal. Amp 30->20->10) Absorption (20->15->10)etc. Lowest tier bonuses (10 Heal Amp, 10 absorb, 1 dodge) do not scale down ever.

    This is wrong.
HoTD is indeed 10% per rank, stacking multiplicatively, making it 1.1^3 amp with all three ranks, which is superior.
Easily testable with unyielding and a calculator.

Epic purples are still bugged, and do not deal epic typed damage.

I agree, superior, but everything I have ever read about HotD says it ends at 1.3, not 1.331. I'm guessing tiers two and three replace the lower bonus with theirs, not add a new bonus to multiply in. Probably in the same way that human and monk healing amp works now. I can verify monk and human amps do not end up as 1.1*1.1*1.1=1.331 but as 1.3 each.

If you think pulling a scroll for the ONE weapon you covet is hard, try pulling 6 of them.

Defender of Siberys DOES however have Glorious Stand which doubles your incoming healing for 30 seconds... Would be AMAZING to use if it were a bit longer.
Dynacel (30 Paladin Vanguard), Eminence (30 Druid Caster), Nymari (20 Deepwood Sniper) Soulfusion (18/2 Artificer Monk)

Yeah, kinda sad. But hey, on Epic DQ, when she enters rage I click on it and say "Ha! You call that Rage? Come and try to kill me, foul Demon! COME, I DARE YOU!!!"

    I have a human paladin.
    Unyielding hits him for 1904.

    1.3 human
    "1.3" hotd
    1.1 eldritch
    = 1.859: incorrect

    1.3 human
    1.1 hotd
    1.1 hotd
    1.1 hotd
    1.1 eldritch
    = 1.90333..: correct

You don't end up with a number like 1.1^3 by replacing bonuses; the tiers stack multiplicatively. As far as I know, everything you have ever read regarding the issue I suppose I'll have to presume wrong too.
Human and monk amp don't add to amp - in their descriptions, they state the new value, making it pretty evident that they replace the last. This is not the case with Hotd, which on every tier, simply states "more".
