    Default Bandy's bi-monthly rant;

So, it's that time. Bandy's newest annoyance???

    Option A)
( Party ): Joe Bob the Korthos-Noob has joined your party.
( Party ): Bandy: Hey Joe Bob, welcome. We're just about to start. Do you know how to get here?
    ( Party ): Joe-Bob: Ship invite.
( Party): You have dismissed Joe Bob from the party.

    Option B)
( Party ): You have joined JohnRandom's party.
( Party ): Bandy: Hey guys. OMW.
( Party ): PartymemberA: What level is your ship?
( Party ): Johnrandom: Ship plz.
( Party ): You leave your party.

    Option C)
Bandy: Humm...think I'll check the LFM panel. Only one group up for this level range, let's check the comments here...

Needz invit to ship with Alter of Devistate PLZ.

Seriously peeps??? ***??? Is this the new " Shr plz. "?

If you're putting up these types of LFMs, or if this is the first thing out of your mouth when you join a party and/or someone joins your party, then you're just as bad an annoyance. I'm pretty sure the guilds with high level are there because they were/are willing to give up plat-generation ( by taking favor rewards over vendor items ) in order to help themselves and their guild. NOT to make sure that you can not do so, and yet still reap the benefits.

Anyways; That concludes Bandy's bi-monthly rant.

^^ This. If it's not a raid or really hard quest you shouldn't beg for an ship invite. And i wonder how many Guilds have an mid-range Level but not even a Navigator. *Hugs the Airship navigator* I don't like running thru Eberron.

If you're going to do Shan to Kor on elite, then asking for a Ship invite for the Acid resist 30 and Fire resist 30 buffs is really useful.

If you're going to do Taming the Flames, then a ship invite for the Fire resist 30 is a good idea.

If you're just doing some random quest, it's just a new way to slow things down and be annoying.

I like it when the last man to join a group that's in progress goes for ship buffs.

Its like piking taken to a whole new level.

There is no reason to ever have to ask for Ship buffs.

Last Time I checked we were running Epic Raids, and all the quests before on Elite with out Guild Ships...

So why would now be any different. Does it help sure it does...

Is it neccessary no its not in fact I give credit to new guilds and players that can hold their own and not cry and whine when they dont have access to a ship.

Bandy I hear you brother. What makes me mad is when a lvl 60 guild asks a lvl 70 guild to go on their Ship I mean really their is only a slight difference in the what those two have.

I do the same thing if someone joins my party and asks for a ship buff I dismiss them or ignore them and start the quest. I also dont wait or expect anyone to wait for me to get ship buffs if they are the last one to join the group.

Oh noes! It's Bi-Month again already!?

For reals, though. Other than resists, it's all just icing. The only time our 60-ish ship has been less than enough for me was when Rner told me his ship had a 5% expee shrine when ours only had 2%during my last TR grind. That ****'s a game-changer.

I swear, all the pug's care about these days are the size of a player's ship and whether or not its got all the fancy shrines with buffs that make them feel uber for an hour*. Its not even like player skill matters to the pug anymore, they just want to use you for your ship buff and be done with it. Don't even get me started on the one's just looking for an altar of devastation and nothing else, I mean whatever happened to sharing a meaningful quest together? I've been told the average ship size pugs are looking for is about 60, but some won't even talk to you if you're not in a level 80 guild, let alone how'd they'd laugh at you if you mentioned your guild was 20.

    Sad days we live in.

*For buffs lasting more than four hours submit a ticket as it could be a dangerous bug.

    Solution to your problem:

    Party Member: Ship Invite pls
Bandy: Press alt+f4, it will teleport you to my location.
    Party Member has disconnected.
    Bandy: LOL

Edit: To the subject at hand... I usually don't bother with boat buffs except when I login... not worth the effort. Hopefully they make them last until death/log...

    Taming *twitch*

    Taming the *twitch* *drool*

    Twitching the fla *twitch*

I've done that quest a number of times without the help of an airship. There's wrong nothing me with! *twitch*

TtF makes Shan to Kor look like cake. At least with StK you can artfully navigate through the worse flame part. TtF doesn't really give you options to bypass and thereby leave the issue behind you. BUT, it can be done without AS buffs.

Airship buffs are neat. Those being twits about needing/wanting a ship invite need to stop being airshi*s. There's a plank on the ship... why oh why can't it be used to make people walk it?! Since when is walking the plank VOLUNTARY?!

I never ask for a ship invite, though it seems a good number of people will offer.

If the group is full (I'm the last one to join, or the group fills before I head for the airship) I always politely decline so as not to hold up the rest of the group.

That makes it more annoying when I decline and the person who joined right after me (to fill up the group) asks for an invite and then ambles their way around town, buying pots and sharpening their sword (or whatever the heck else they are doing) before hitting the ship. Clearly they are not concerned with delaying the group.
All on Thelanis: Archenpaul Sixblade (Epic Triple Completionist), Archernicus Thornwood, Crestellin Moonwood, Gregorovic Redcloak, Jaklomeo Evermug, Jarladdin Nalfesne, Jonathraxius Kane, and Praetoreus Silvershield (Heroic Triple Completionist, Epic Triple Completionist.)

Default wow i didnt know what to expect

but i totally agree.id stick a fork in my eye before i let someone i dont know reap the benefits of a guild ship.if i know you and like you different story. you reap what you sow but some people want everything for free. great post i hate it when i see those and sometimes invite them just to boot them. then again its also fun to see them board our ship and complain that there is nothing up.

I invited someone to my guild's ship for buffs yesterday, but it was mostly out of guilt. I knew for a fact I was joining his LFM to grind out the last bit of expee I needed to hit 20, at which point I would promptly take the level and ditch the group.
